Portals and creatures of Cthulhu appearing on Exiles

Portal appeared above the Summing Place. Lot’s of NPCs dropping from the sky. Eventually the portal warped inwards and sucked the souls of the remaining NPCs to spawn The Spider Of Leng. I was not aware of this feature on Exiles.

Also encountered tentacled deamons at another thrall encampment nearby.

Is this new for Exiles?
