Bravo!!! BRAVO!!!
first BIG step in the right direction! you are now ofifically opening my wallet again!
this games needs to get better not bigger, bigger and more buggy does not help, get the game better and stable, is!
you made my day!
Such fantastic news Rodney!! I commend and wholeheartedy welcome this approach. @AndyB please pass my thanks to the team. Sometimes it is best to take a pitstop before proceeding onwards. And thankyou very much for communicating this with us.
Well, this is an answer to the concerns of players who have already started discussing whether the game is abandoned. It’s not abandoned. And that’s good to know.
I wish there was an emoji that expresses cautious optimism. Let’s see where we go from here.
Ummm hate to be the Debbie downer here but isn’t this the very definition of maintainence mode?
We’ll see after the spring update.
Sorry not buying this crap again.
You all have suckered me back in to this game too many times already.
By spring will anyone still be left?
Ya’ll know I’m taking a long hiatus if not just gone, right?
My bases have decayed and I’ve deleted my characters.
Think about this, game will be broken for 6 months. I got better thing to do with my time.
This is something that was asked for though. Sort of like “Age of Bugfixes”.
It is what is needed right now. We can’t have good new content if everything is broken including the new content. Case in point: Living Settlements.
It has been said multiple times now by staff via recent interviews that Conan isn’t going anywhere; which would heavily imply that maintenance mode is not the intention. But, we shall see what happens.
I’d rather be optimistic and give them the opportunity.
GREAT NEWS BUT, any chance for a small hot fix to fix console server list problems sooner than another maybe 3 or more months? PLEASE
@AndyB mentioned on another post that a hotfix is expected some point this month, so there’s at least one patch coming before the Spring update mentioned in the letter
Pretty much, yeah. But that’s good. Maintenance mode is most likely the best thing that can happen to Conan Exiles right now
the leather implies that they want to make the game better , before making it bigger, and to put the foundations for much better updates, so it might be just a perioud dedicated to fix game issues, then have content that has a much stable and stronger foundation.
but… time will tell… we are not dumb or stupid, we will find out soon enough.
So with this news does that mean beta will not be offered next update since it’s just bug fixes?
And yet here you are still whining away on the forum, more active than most of its other members. You have been threatening to leave for god only knows how long now. We will believe it when we see it.
That is definitly the right decision
The game desperately needs maintenance.
Would you prefer more broken things?
Even if it is maintenance mode, it beats the alternative wich could very well be ending up with an unplayable game.
The words are promising.
But what are the words worth?
We shall see later in the Spring.
It would go some distance to establishing verisimilitude if they Stickied the Know Bugs threads.
To show that they are actively engaging with the laundry list of troubles feedback is being solicited for.
And this one thought they were the bitter, cynical, borderline cruel one.
This one tips their hat to your throne of skulls and goblets filled with tears.
In an ideal scenario, a focus on bug fixes and QoL would have a more robust beta.
But in a world where the beta is a marketing gimmick… It is as you describe…
