Before the craftng update I was able to use my ps4 controller and now after the crafting update I all of the sudden can not use my ps4 controller on PC with out using ds4 tools.

Can you provide us with some additional information on how you managed to use the PS4 controller without any other tools?
You should be able to set-up your controller in the Steam app.
’ To get your DualShock 4 set up on Steam, launch the Steam client and click the controller icon at the top right to enter Big Picture Mode , which is Steam’s console-like, controller-friendly interface. From there, go to Settings > Controller Settings and make sure “PS4 Configuration Support” is toggled on .’
