PS4 Official “Toxic” Servers

I don’t know what I’m doing on here exactly, but I just would like to help others and also gain knowledge on which servers to avoid.
I’m in need of a new one.

4-5 Weeks of farming gone in one hour:
I built a stable and pretty decent defensive base after a few weeks just to have it all tore down by the biggest clans in the server.
5 players against one Lv.60.
Including overpowered thralls that took out 70% of my animals lmao…
I know I could just go into PVE but I enjoy PvP. If a player tries something, is suspicious, rude or trying to steal loot, I like to have the option to attack back.
In this case, there was no point to fight after being chased by 4 people + plus strong boss thralls and one person bombing my home.

These guys weren’t good at fighting either. I killed a few multiple times, but their thralls were ridiculously strong.

I’m currently looking for a new server to join with my friends, but I’d hate to have this happen again.
Any options?

This is unfortunately the state of all official servers, you can try to find a clan as I am doing. I’m surprised you lasted now than a week honestly because any base I built even in the most inhospitable places, I couldn’t last a week without the ‘alpha’ clan raiding me to the foundation.

Let me tell you somenthing about my experience: same as what you described, well, in the past when thralls was too weak to be effective and pet doesn’t even exist.

3 months spent changing server over server before I learned…

Don’t take it wrong, but are you sure PvP it’s game mode for you ?

Let me explain:

You said:

That’s PvE-Conflict… well at least during PvP time window but there are other ways to fight back someone rude with you anyway.

What you described it’s a normal strategy in PvP: I’m the Alpha clan or a clan who want to become the Alpha ? I HAVE to destroy each one that is becoming a menace to my dominance status.

It’s normal to play this way in PvP, and I never wanted to destroy other player’s bases or to lose all things, so I changed.

Now I play PvE-Conflict since 10 months, never regretted.

I appreciate the reply and more explanation.
I honestly don’t know too much about conflict. I kind of knew PvP was in certain times windows but I guess this happening was also another learning experience. I’ve only started playing since the game came out for free on PSN.

I like PvP in every game.
I was just the type where, if you attack me first, I’ll attack back.

I don’t care too much if someone tries to raid, it’s not being able to fight back due to being outnumbered is what bothers me.
I spent hours and finally finished upgrading my walls just to have it gone the next day.

The majority of clans in my server were usually friendly and anyone that tried to attack smaller clans would be sometimes be attacked. I was warned about the two Alpha clans but also thought how lame it all was.
“You can’t upgrade to T3 Altar without being raided” or “If they raid you, just run.”
Was said to me. It just sucks.
If this is the case, seems like anyone can grab 10 friends, reach Lv.60 and take over any server.

I’d understand if they attacked me because I had a big clan and they were worried about being taken off their iron throne.
But their reason was just because they can and they have enough materials to do so.

2 days before my place was raided, I noticed a major amount of players stopped playing.
It seemed like they were basically kicking everyone out an Official server.
Not long after my place crashed, a friend I made in the server told me they’re going for his house next.

But, I don’t know. It’s how the PvP is, I suppose lol.

I’ll probably check it out once I recover from my house’s demise lmao.
Sounds nice though. I’d do the same if I was a big clan.

It was tough. I felt like I had to check on my base every hour.
After seeing what it seemed to be people scouting my area I was paranoid lol. I was very confident in my defense though, but with one overpowered thrall and a legendary weapon, it took out 70% of my guarding pets while I was offline.

It’s a shame too. They weren’t great at fighting. Their thralls kept distracting me or finishing me off.
I didn’t know NPC ones could be so strong.

Definitely the nature of this game in PVP. I played PVP for 5 months and when they came out with the PVE-C servers, I switched. A lot less toxic, a lot less raw testosterone flying around. If you like solo play, or arent into the macho “Because we can” attitude, try a Conflict server for awhile.

In my experience what I hated of PvP was I never had a fight.

People attacked only offline clans, and if your clan was unable to be online to defend a base you was 110% sure you’ll be attacked.

That was not fun at all, I can accept to lose a fight, not just to login and found all my things are gone if I can’t to live for the game being online each day of my life.

Obviously in my experience cheaters, exploiters, lamers are everywhere in every game, sadly.

PvE-Conflict offers a more relaxed environment, there are wars but usually they are real wars players vs players. Most of the time I had friendly duels with peoples instead of wars.

Just if you don’t know: buildings, thralls and pets are immortal for players (and they don’t fight back obviously  ), you can loot someone else’s corpse all day, you can kill other players (and there is friendly fire) only during the same time window in PvP you can raid bases (usually 17-23)

It’s not perfect: I’d like to be able to kill my own pets and thralls, and I think the “PvP time window” is useless, I’d like it be always active, even if, if your mates are not so good in tactics (I play this game with my old mother too !), having a time without friendly fire it’s good

It was just a suggestion in any case, because your story made me remeber when I tryed to play PvP

I sincerely detest saying this, as it was said in unkind words at Steam during Early Access, but this is PvP. This is the actual idea of PvP in Conan Exiles. During development of the game I participated in public servers where there was peace, a ruleset and basic ideas of chivalry, but after Frozen North was added, this mentality diminished into obscurity. Most official servers will be like this, so I suggest finding a pleasant private vanilla server with some form of honor. Good luck, exile, you’re not alone!

Getting good at fighting will be a major asset to you, whatever type of server you pick. The best fighters will use specific tactics and animation cancels for taking out players. Doing this may secure your spot on a server. There’s some videos that can help you learn the combat.

Lol well thank you for commenting more about your opinion. I agree with what you said: “If your team wasn’t online, most likely you’d be attack.”
I was often the one on checking our stuff because I had more free time than my friend’s.

I’ll definitely try Conflict again and see how that goes. There’s always toxicity in every game, for sure lol.
That’s why I just made this post without thinking about it much. I just wanted to know other’s opinions and thoughts and even gain more knowledge about the community.
So, thank you again. :sunglasses:
Everyone definitely gave me more insight in this matter.
Even though I played a few servers and mostly knew what to do, there’s always something to be learned.

Thank you for your input and I understand where you’re coming from.
I can’t imagine how different things were at the start.
Any experience anyone would like to share or tips is always helpful.

Goodluck to you too, Exile!

I’ll definitely check out more regardless if I know how some weapons work and moves to be done.
Thank you for your input as well!

On my first server I hid out solo until I could rise up quickly with a giant phallic tower on the fringe on what’s now the jungle. I did not rely on thralls because they can be stolen, and your heart will hurt. Eventually when I met players, we would drop the helmet and breastplate in order to signal agreement to peaceful conversation. Battles were over trespass, or being too big for one’s britches. There was a code, man. It can be that way again.

Is there any australian or new zealand servers floating around

The majority of populated PS4 (or any official PVP server for that matter) are what many would call
“toxic”. I could recommend any number of dead/peaceful PVP servers to you, but eventually people get tired of playing on pvp servers with little to no conflict. Small clans and solo players really struggle on busy PVP servers with lots of conflict. Some alphas even invite smaller / weaker clans over just to farm them eventually for resources or entertainment. The PVP game is all about petty conflict and fighting. Take away the conflict and lots of people get bored and leave. For example, one clan I play in recently wiped long time enemies after months of never ending war. After they were dead, wiped and gone we realized we had nothing else to do except pve stuff, so we eventually left for another server full of toxic pvp and new toxic enemies.
