Also to note… I LOVE the addition of bark at 1:1 with shaped wood. DO NOT like the retinkering with all the ways various animals drop supplies. I’m now getting meat and bones with a knife when I was able to horde skins before. Not cool. Also, the cleaver only seems to get returns on certain animals and less meat than an axe on others. Whaaat? Also… still having the body disappear after death. I saw it dissappear right as I walked up to it! I died 1 minute from my spawn point… seriously?? I did the fight close to spawn point TO NOT LOSE ALL MY KINSCOURGE STUFF. This is a huge miss. Please fix. I really hate farming that guy.
Yeah, it’s always a problem when devs do too much re-balancing post-official release. Players become accustomed to how things are and you’re bound to upset someone when you start messing with how things function. People expect this sort of thing during early access * cough *, and so are more tolerant of it there. It’s less welcome post release, though some re-balancing is to be expected.
Ideally, things should be fairly settled by official release * cough *.
They do now. The higher the level the more rows of storage they get. My lvl 3 bearer is a walking Footlocker. He can save me 3 extra trips now.

There are ALL kinds of stuff not in patch notes. i think they love to see how long it takes for us to find it.

It might be good If the new features and altered gameplay mechanics were explained somewhere… The patch notes doesn’t explain how new mechanics work in detail…
But at the moment, I would be happy if the game doesn’t crash 2 or 3 times per session, including destroying the last savegame…

Thank you for this Free update, It’s true that some building bugs have been solved, and now It’s someway easiest to build our projected assets. And also, thank you for still working on this game, as it’s one of the best I’ve played in the last years. I’m very happy to have choosen your game instead of the AC one, because your game is a Huge Sword and Sorcery sandbox game, and I’m very excited to play it every day with my wife, because we will decided what to do next, instead of being following a path. And also thank you for the “Conan” theme and all hidden references to the Conan comics, the Robert E. Howard books and Lovecraft, I’m in love with this game. And I will be happy to play the animals update also.

Notes: I am in a large clan of 9, with 5 to 6 on daily for a couple of months.
I have been on the server since release in May, 1st week PVE-C to get some of the mecahnics down, then PVP rest of the way…
I survived the war of 50 statters, duping, no lifers. But now it seems if the game has lost its fun.
Patch Cons
- Event Log—basically you have to have one person stay in base entire raid time. Not fun. And if you are solo, then forget about it, as they would have to do all thier farming non raid time. So basically be on for 6 hours waiting for event log. Like the detailed list, but it is basically an insurance claim form now if you are out farming.
- Reduction of Vault HP—I don’t mind the reduction, as much as the surprise release ( i kept up with testlive, but never saw confirmation that they were done with the tweaking, which left alot of players shocked it came out with no set date. This combined with 30+ blue screens on that night per clan mate, not seeing an event log (see #1) cost our clan alot of FOB’s and in base storage. i think 10 vaults in total. 5 of which were in true bases ( not spamming, bu t loot from our raids, farming our asses off, etc…), the others FOBs from raids within the last 2 weeks of an ongoing war.
Pros
- New thrall scout–need more time with it, but like the direction.
- Improved Preserve Box—helps with the thrall feeding
- New Dungeon—beautiful artistically.
- Some of the crafting changes–except the way the nerfed the hell out of derketo oil to blood. Don’t mind a tweak, but really with how they dropped Vault HP, maid out of area raiding with new event log set up, makes raiding with someo one is not around their base ultra easy.
There are some other things for both, but those i ones that stick with me.
I feel that Funcom decided to “wipe” larger clans, don’t like the term alpha, by making it hard to defend multiple Full bases and storing mats (farmed or looted) even harder. But in return, their is a large player base that didn’t dupe, didn’t use 50 stat and other glitches that have earned their builds and a chance to defend it properly, that may be quitting. Then Funcom will be stuck with hte wandering tribes from server to server who build explosives, play from no actual base, and that don’t use any of the other wonderful mechanics this game has.
Sucks, but this may be it for me, after 30 hours a week for 5 months of bouncing between fighting and farming DURING RAID HOURS, i can’t now just sit in my base during that time. I have better things to do with my gaming hours.
So far everything seemed to work fine, thrall pots (would be nice to be able to scroll through which thralls are being fed) the dual hand combat pretty cool.
BUT, after the update my Purge Meter does not move anymore, we were getting a purge once a week (every Friday for the last 4 weeks) then we got one on thursday before the update, but now there has been no movement since.
I can say all I did was adventure this weekend, no building or slaving. Last night I repaired all the walls that the Direwolves tore down and I will attempt to do some slaving tonight to see if that will start it back up.
I like most of the update there are some issues that came along but overall im having fun with it I like a lot of the new stuff and im looking forward to making hordes of pets to pester people on my server with lol
I really like this change, especially now that they fixed the infinite inventory exploit.
Still having issues with multiple crashes per session. Brought on by drop in frame rates. Worse then prepatch even. It’s getting to the point that I pray for someone to unleash Set on my base to ‘release me’ from the game.
Loved the game but they’re killing it on me. Every patch at a time. The additions are very much needed. But the bugs keep detracting from the game. I’ll be sad when I finally stop logging on once a week, to stop decay timers, but will also feel a great sense of relief.
Hello,Funcom! Do you keep in contact with Spikechunsoft of Japan in advance about this update? In this update, the Japanese PS 4 users is left behind and the situation that it can not connect to the American servers continues for 5 days. Buildings of Japanese players will disappear as it is. Do you think “Conan outcast” is not its own product but all responsibility in Japan? If you love all users, please contact with Spikechunsoft and check their situation as soon as possible. Please.
The potion that lets us see in the dark does not work in first person view, only works for 3rd person camera mode.
I’ve seen a few Japanese players since the update but no where near as many as before. I assumed they’d just moved on to a different server or completed all the content and quite playing.
As i mentioned Night-Eye Potion does not work in 1st person view/camera mode. Also those potions renders your 3rd person camera darker permanently (after the effect of the potion wears off) and affects the entire screen… i suppose logging out and back in will fix it but this is a serious annoyance.
As soon as this update happened, anytime anyone on my server goes to kill the volcano boss the whole server crashes! It has happened 4 times in two days!
Me and my friend both keep getting blue screen crashes when trying to close the game.
Fix is listed on pc patch notes for the 2nd half of the patch that brings pets.
