In case you haven’t tried them yet, I completely forgot about them until today: Purple Lotus Orb. They are great!
My character is still young, so I gave it a try. Knocked out a couple of NPCs in no time! If you want to take a look, check minute 15:05:
I only had a couple of them, and didn’t see the T4 until the gas dissipated. The T4 joined my team the traditional way

Odd that some NPCs will walk off their marks once they wake up 
Yeah the only thing that is a pain about them is getting the black and purple lotus. That’s a trek for a fresh level 10 new character just to run back to the other side of the map. Alternatively these plants show up as rng loot on the skeletons and chest in unnamed city
