Pretty much what the title says. Would be nice if we could trade with a player in-front of us rather than just throwing things on the ground and picking them up.
More social options I think are a must between players, and it would also be nice if NPC interactions were also a little revamped. Some perhaps even with our own thralls.
Better merchants with perhaps even a barter system? (Aching a little to that of Path of Exile but for all items). The idea would be simply to create a “cost value” for each item, and said item will be compared to said other item of interest. Accumulated items will round up to make said purchase possible. Then they can ofcourse throw in the usual Merchant items cost more to buy than yours cost to sell thing, and we are done.
The only pickle might be the UI for this. I would at that point suggest instead of having to add items to your sell bucket or something of the sort to see say which buy items become available, to simply add the value of each item bellow it in its stats/characteristics. A total value can be seen for the buying and selling windows, then proceed to accept trade.
At this point, we are starting to create a currency system, at which point it would be nice if we had perhaps a value for silver to gold (do we have that already??) where say 10 silver is the same as 1 gold, or whatever. (Don’t have 5 gold pieces for said item, same would be to just hand over 50 silver coins instead). And to round this up and complete it, add a smaller currency as well before silver (like bronze, but not bronze. Something already in the game. Idk, probably iron I assume would be the best as it is also a primary resource that is actually used in a gazillion things).
Got excited and went on a tangent there, but, yeah, trading between players would be nice. 2 pop up windows to place our items in and hit accept on both parties and job done. Surely beats throwing things on the floor.
The “tangent” idea can also allow us to make shops were we can store goods for other players to drop by and purchase, and have checkboxes (filter) to what items we accept trade for, allowing us to side farm certain materials too whilst also pass on things we might not need or farm too much off. (That filter should be a must for something like this. Otherwise it would be funny if someone could just throw in all their leather for our starmetal, LOL)
