PvP without building damage but Thralls and pets don't attack?

Been trying to figure this out and could use some help. I’m aware you can have PvP turned on but allow buildings to no be harmed, however if its set this way, then Thralls and pets do not attack other players.

Is there not a way to have PvP on without having buildings be damaged and still have thralls and pets attack invading players?

Yes, this is nonsense. I don’t know why they did that.

it was like that on pve servers befor but it did not work when it was far to easy to just farm the thralls.

I turned building damage multiplier down to 0.1 (single player) and pvp on.

This way I can take out thralls and co-op friends, and not break something in my house. XD

So. I have a clan on a PVE-Conflict server who basically are annoying. What they like to do is drag world bosses to my base.

I designed it against purged. My thralls dont seem to attack though. Which is annoying. Unless I take damage or become threaatened in some way.

They just kind of mindlessly sit there…doing nothing.

Things cant damage my base. And I have built in a way that there is a cliff and a giant crevace preventing these beasties from getting to me. Then I shoot them down or gas orb them.

While the thralls dont help at all. I kill them all the time.

I want to thank that clan for supplying me with more Skeliton Keys then I need. They have also helped me level.

Thralls should work. They don’t.

But I think that clan is my best friends now.

Issue that I am running into is that I run a Roleplay server. Some of the areas that are designated as main RP areas I don’t want to spend time on repairing them every time someone wants to take a swing at the walls. I even turned the damage to buildings down very low, but if you get explosions or other things that do massive damage, your still looking at having to spend time to repair those. I don’t mind having some designated areas as being hostile and having some buildings there get torn down, but the RP hubs I need protected. But as I said, you take Damage to buildings off and the Thralls and Pets do nothing.

Only thing I am playing around with at this time is that through the Pippi mod it looks like he might have a building protection item. Hae not fully tested it, but it looks like it just gives a protection of up to 100. I’m guessing thats 100 squares away from the item… So I guess if nothing else I can clutter areas with those items if they work…

Would like my pvp thralls to actually attack players again too or maybe an aggressive/passive setting on each thrall.

Oh that is one easy question.

You know how purges are meant to be defended using thralls (and pets)?
So guess now what happens on pve+pve-c.
Griefers gonna grief.
They started to kill other players thralls which were meant as purge defense and then claimed they would have attacked them.

I think this was why all thralls and pets are kind of treated as building parts. Now, how do building parts act outside of raid hours? We cannot damage them.
But wouldnt it be unfair if we couldnt harm thralls but they could harm us?
I think that has been the thought behind that.

Key would be allowing thralls to be killed during normal pvp times as well. Then they would attack other players during any pvp time.

I guess a mod - if there is one - may help with that. But since I never (really) play outside of official servers, I never cared about mods…

Here we hacked the base because the slaves did not attack. And there are many such bases.

True.
However, when I got back in, all new thralls (placed after second pet update) seem to attack me if they arent mine.
I think old thralls will stay broken?
