Random character reset

I play on an official PVE server, and after I died, my character randomly reset to the state it was in the last time I left the game. Everything reset except for the items I had, which is weird. I basically lost one or two hours of progress.

Is this a known bug?

First hearing of it. But file an actual bug report or funcom wont hear of it.
