You can’t completely cover an animal pen up people can always get inside.
There are multiple players on my server who have successfully enclosed theirs. In fact, one player has two towers of animal pens stacked 4 high.
It’s not impossible, just resource-intensive and very exacting.

10 x 9 foundations.
put animal pen, 1 foundation stay free front and back.
then 2 pillars back at -1/-1 foundation
then 2 pillars front at -1 /-3
then walls and pillars 3 x hight.
then put the ceillings on top from the outside to the center.
Always put the wiring t3 door, then other see the animal pen and will not break the building

You mean the pets can be killed into their pens?
The pens are considered a workstation so can not be locked so on a PvP server you can remove pets from anyone else’s animal pen. This is why people want to enclose them so they don’t have pets stolen from them.
I’m still hoping for “single pen” versions.
Actually surprised 1st tier was 1 pen, t2 3 pens and final one 5 pens. XD

I thought the animals in the pens were just “ghost models” that would appear after the minor versions grew into adulthood. I didn’t know you could pick them up. Did I understood you correctly?
