Rhino Mount feedback and suggestions

I’ve played a few days now with a rhino mount, testing what it can do, how is useable, it’s pros and cons, my thoughts are:

firstly, the first thing I tried was putting a saddle on a Turanian rhino, this doesn’t work, this makes sense, but then I can have 2 rhinos, that made me question why the rhino mount doesn’t fight, all the animations are there, it’s not a horse, it’s much slower tankier and bigger, it should be able to defend itself

secondly, the useable weapons, it’s lacking the versatility of the horse, I can’t use any one handed weapon that I know of, as such if I want to use a torch I can only use the rhinos horn to attack, I think allowing javalin use on rhinos and horses would be a good rectification to this

thirdly, since you can have a mount and a follower, the follower has a harder time keeping up, my thoughts on this are, if you have a human follower, they should be able to mount a rhino or horse with you, via a new saddle, chariot, it similar, thralls with bows or javalins could use them to assist since this is clearly not a mobility based mount

Lastly, they get stuck on rocks far to easily, it’s a rhino, the simplest fix would be to allow it to go over smaller rocks easily, but in my opinion a better option would be, 1.change the charge to function like horses, sprinting itself is the attack, 2. Allow the rhino sprint to break rocks trees plants and similar

Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback and suggestions

Simple way to make Rhino much much better.
Stop with the Space bar as attack, it should be left mouse click! Then you can use space to jump so the stupid thing doesn’t get stuck on rocks…

If attacks are remaped to a mouse button you lose the ability to use weapons, if the attacks is remaped ctrl is probably a better button as this is normally a alt attack button

Hey VruxVrango,

I have moved this thread to the Isle of Siptah subforum, as it provides feedback on the Isle of Siptah DLC. The thread will be seen regardless.

I have noticed that while on the back of the rhino some small animals do seem to be able to push it around very easily, it feels more like a bug then a intended mechanic though so I’m not sure what’s going on there
