Mount Trinity - Camels

Hey there Funcom, when Rhino mounts were first introduced I got exited for the future possibilities of different rhino saddles and themes we could use. There is one in game that it’s pretty much done already except that we can’t ride it and that is the Turanian Rhino skin, it would be swell if we could get a version we could use as a mount. Camels are another possible mount that should’ve existed since horses were added, with camels being more focused for long travels and cargo and horses for short distances and combat. Adding the rhino makes it a perfect trinity for three different roles being fulfilled.

  • Camels: Like I said earlier they could fit the perfect role to carry a lot and travel long distances until they run out of stamina, they would be a bit slower than horses and do barely any damage while mounted.

  • Rhinos: Pretty much how they are currently in live, they do need a health buff and a slight damage buff for their horn attack, they would be more focused on soaking damage and waging war, but they would have to be a bit slower or harder to maneuver if they deal more damage.

  • Horses: They would be the perfect middle ground of both roles, faster than camels and rhinos but limited in stamina compared to a camel, deal more mounted damage than the camel but no more than the rhino and would be able to carry an acceptable amount of cargo but not as much as the others to keep it balanced. Pretty much what we already have in game.

Those are my two cents, got a bit carried away but I feel like camels deserve to become mounts and would bring more options to the game.

Yes, I agree. When I started, I thought for sure that camels would be mounts. It’s so strange to see it happen for rhinos first. I like your balance ideas.

This guy gets it. Funcom, he’s even done the thunkin for you! Give us the mighty ships of the desert driven by stoic desert nomad seamen! Yes, I can hear the giggles and guffaws all the way down here in Oz. s. e. A. m. e. n, you pervs!

Make it a quartet, would love to see elephant mounts along with camels. :+1:t2:

And please-please with a cherry on top - move all the mount taming into stables! Especially for those calves who can grow up into mounts or fighters. IF I put Rhino calf into Animal Pen I want to get a fighter. Maybe not a “greater” one but I use “common” pets to defend my base against purges as “disposable material”. I don’t need a swarm of passive mounts. So please move a recipe for taming mountable Rhino (or Elephant/Camel when they will be mounts as well) to stables.

IMHO:

Rhinos: carry and damage

Camels: stamina

Horses: speed

Rhinos are STRONG: stronger animals can carry more weight.

Well you certainly wouldn’t want to mount an unstable rhino, believe me I know. My ex wife still throws rocks at me after all these years apart!

Ohhhh, you mean in game! Right. Sorry mate. Well I think the best way to get Rhinos and Camels stable is to find some really flat ground with no major inclines. Failing that, chock up one of the legs with your shield, but a thrall’s face will work fine if you don’t have one. Also when it comes to ANY sort of mount, the most important thing is CONSENT. Oh and maybe some privacy too, especially in regards to camels and rhinos! I’m not judging, but if I personally saw that I’d feel a bit…icky. I’m sure they don’t want an audience either.
OHHHH. The other type of “mount”! Sorry! My bad.
Well 1st, you’re gonna need a LOT of picture hooks to mount a few tonnes of rhino! Get a spirit level and a friend to eyeball it from across the room. Just not a humourless ex wife that acts like nothing in the known universe is good enough for her- it will take forever and most likely end in tears, alcoholism and eventually waking up next to a very shame faced Rhino and the unending fear that somebody saw you and filmed it.
…So I’ve been told.
Hope this helps!

dont touch rhinos and horses any more, just make the camel a mount. Should be slower than the horse of course and dont need to attack.
