Rock, Paper, Scissors... Stone, Iron, Steel vs Objects - What beats what?

What is the minimum material type to break open wooden boxes? simple doors? heavy chests? Does it have to be a weapon or can tools also be used?

I’ve always had the impression that iron weapons (at the very least) work alright on wooden boxes and simple wooden doors. Of course, the better the weapon … the more damage is applied to it.
But when you get into the more durable things like a large chest, I think a steel weapon is the minimum needed to damage it.
I’ve not heard of tools, such as the axe or a pick causing any damage to any of them, but I could be wrong.

Thanks. I will try using an iron weapon and an iron tool and check with a Repair Hammer to see what if any damage is being done.

If you wouldn’t mind, let me know how that turns out.

Iron items will not damage a simple wooden door, but will destroy wooden boxes.

#6

That’s really odd. A door uses less wood than a storage box.
But, thank you just the same for getting back to me on this.

I tried an iron pike, an iron sword, and an iron warhammer. I will try again tonight. I believe that I kept getting a message IMMUNE TO THIS WEAPON.
