Sand Reaper Queen Pet is super buggy and it's AI needs an overhaul

Game mode: * Single-player | Co-op

Hardware: *PC

Bug Description:

Sand Reaper Queen rushes towards enemies and attacks in one direction, or just stands there in a pose, often when it is told to prioritize ranged over melee. If the enemies move to the side or behind the queen, she continues to attack it the same direction never turning towards enemies, or will just stand there tanking hits for no reason. She ends up missing almost all attacks and is basically a low armored sponge.

Expected Behavior:

Sand Reaper queen able to actually target and attack enemies. I’ve lost many Queen pets due to inability to attack and they just sit there and die. Which is quite a hassle with how much of a pain it is to hatch and raise them.

Wild Sand reaper queens had brain reduction too.

One attack, and just standing there the rest of the “fight”.

I think one of the latest patches (2.3 or 2.4?) caused this, but I’m not sure since I kill those critters probably once in every 2-3 months. I thought it was a one time bug, but I tested today (important: I still do NOT updated the game to 2.5!! but it seems it is still present) and she just stood there.

I wonder if Funcom is going to do anything about that. The AI on some thralls is even buggy where they will just stand there and get hit.

I think they improved, and still improve thrall AI, but no words about bugs (heh heh), especially sand reaper queen. Scorpin, queen scorpion, demon spider, spidee have no problems for me.

It’d be nice if funcom would just do like a hotfix or patch for them at least. I like having meatshield thralls, but not if they just sit there and die.

Come on funcom fix your Shtuff

The funny thing is, I was leveling up my Tcho Tcho veteran the other day and it has a common leap attack it does. Well, apparently it’s not just Sand Reaper Queens who can only attack in one direction or at least not in the direction of the target. Anyhow, I sent my Tcho Tcho in to attack a creature that ALSO has a common leap attack and I kid you not, they literally spent 5 minutes leaping in complete opposite directions of each other. It was quite comical to say the least.

Yeah I think the AI in general needs more work, most creatures are incredibly easy to dodge around their attacks and don’t even always turn to face you before they lunge. I can just walk sircles around most of them and not get hit at all.
