When I build near the oasis, I tend to build the bulk of it on the dried lake bed and have a small, aesthetically pleasing pool that barely elevated above the water. Doesn’t despawn the animals or the trees

The oasis of Nekhet is just that, about the only freshwater access around sepermeru. Beautiful wild life, jaguar cub spawns, multiple materials, mini boss, world boss and chest… and looks like down town Miami most of the time. Quite often on PVE the only places that aren’t build over are the areas between builds.

I’d like to see the entire area a no build zone. There is plenty of open, dead real estate around serpers to not have to build over an entire area of resources.

I’d like all of the oasis of Nehhet a no build zone. Save the oasis

This thread is about a no build zone around the oasis, not the size of some ones base. If some one spent time finding where I complained about the size of megabuilds, they wasted that time. Because that has nothing to do with the subject of the thread.

Not really… the context is still relevant because they’re utilizing all of your previously stated opinions at their disposal to back their argument. They didn’t specify when you mentioned and you didn’t specify where they needed to quote. You’re basically saying at this point that if you didn’t say it here, your opinions elsewhere that pertain to similar content are irrelevant. Unless you have stated that those are no longer your opinions due to changes in your outlook, they are still ammunition to be used against you. You can’t fault someone for being diligent in their research and then say they wasted their time. That’s an empty argument, man. It’s just a lazy response. This is done all the time when gathering evidence against someone in legal battles as well as debates. You can’t possibly say that doesn’t apply here. It’s all written in stone and easy to find. You built a case against yourself and now you’re getting mad that it was used against you.

I honestly don’t care about any of this THAT much, but I can still call a BS response when I see one.

There’s often a bias that calls your attention to a build and its accompanied environment. Now I may be wrong, but I’m not sure you provided examples of these builds. I understand though. I hate box bases and sloppy designs as you know, and I’m far more inclined to show disgust with a build as a wasted opportunity if I hate how it looks. It’s a subconscious feeling that directs my attention to something. As I said, I could be wrong, as could everyone else, but I don’t think you showed any examples explicitly. I didn’t actually go through and read this entire topic as it just became you and @CodeMage trading blows for a while and I lost interest. I’m just providing my two cents on the immediate accusation of him going outside the box you put your argument into after the fact.

So, you made the initial claim of “At no time have I made that arguement”, followed by a “Quote it”. Wish asked for and granted. You just dont like what you got. It honestly only took me about 5 mins to find your opinions on the two quotes I did, I just wasnt going to invest time looking for a screenshot of the base you didnt like.

Sorry bud, while this isnt 100% tied to a rediculous claim of wanting more then an entire grid designated as a no build zone, it does tie into how you are forming opinions on things in game you dont like, that others have zero issues with.

Sure, and if you ask enough of a variety of players, you will find someone who likes a certain spot on the map for the visual beauty and spawns around it, much like you and the Oasis. Im sure we could say that 90% of the map is visually beautiful to at least one person. They wouldnt like their nice views blocked or built on.

Welcome to multiplayer games. Codemage I think was the one that said it, just because you dont like people building in a spot doesnt mean the game should be changed to suit your game style.

Well, actually, Ive been reading it for days following it along. I do that with topics that interest me, and from time to time, I hop in with a comment. This was a situation like that - someone said something about you which you denied and I know for a fact they were right, hence my “2 of 3” comment. It indeed does add to the discussion of why you feel the way you do about wanting a no build zone.
