I am already waiting about 32 hours for the server to restart, but in the meantime no one at Funcom can tell us what is going on and if they are able to fix this!

Servers are the responsibility of G-Portal. Software is the responsibility of Funcom. If your server is down, G-Portal would be the company to alert to the problem.

Jim1, I bought the game from funcom at steam plataform, not from G-Portal. G-portal do the service off hosting the servers for funcom, not for me or for you, in other words, if funcom vanishs from the map, G-Poral will not host anything anymore for them.
I want an answer from Funcom, becouse the game is their problem, but the time spent on it is our problem. So if you don’t want to help, don’t go on other people posts to say something idiot like that. And there is more, he said that g-portal does not gave an answer.
It’s now almost the day four that we are without our server, here on Brazil we have some laws to be fulfilled, and the services provision is very important here, and if the game is sold here, they have to obey our laws too. For our law, there is no excuses like “we have others servers for you to play”, here it’s important to continue the service once introduced.
I create an acount at g-portal`s, and send them a ticket.

The latest database save for server 1998 was corrupted beyond repair, so we’ve loaded in the latest working save on that server. There might be a slight loss of progress due to this.

I literally spent almost the last 15 days dedicating myself to my progress on this server in question and now I have been practically wiped.
I had just purchased an expansion and built an entire tier 3 base YESTERDAY. Not to mention all the thralls and pets I missed.

most of us play on official servers because of the false idea that we have more security in relation to what we have achieved in the game and the absence of arbitrariness. Then come funcom and because of a poor service with G-portal, do such a thing. What is the next step? total wipe?
