Siege Event Single Person never ending enemy spawn

I was attempting to do the siege event that was shown on the release trailer, but the enemy spawn rate for single player servers is insane. I am seeing spawns of enemies at such a rate that I cannot do a thing. I decreased the spawn rating on my solo game to the minimum levels and they were still spawning in faster then it was possible to kill them. There does not appear to be a way to stop the spawning so I can possibly get through just one layer of the fortress.

While I understand this is a game for multiplayers the single player experience for the Age of War Chapter 3 does not appear to be working right.

Yupp. Reported it multiple times in testlive, but without any effect apparently.

Great, guess I will just have to cheese it to kill the boss and get the challenges done if they show up.

They spawn istantly as soon as you kill one. I was on a turret, kill an archer and it immediatly spawn again.

SIiver lining: you can climb everywhere and cheese your way to the end.

Out of context: how much time is needed so the tavern is full with NPC? I create a new tavern, wait for 1.5 hour, no one appeared.

Maybe because I mainly use stools? or it just requires more time?

Don’t know exactly. I built two taverns on the beta client and they had just filled with guests when I returned after a while. Maybe it helps not to be present?

Any idea what level of purge you need to do to get the Tavern keeper?

Apparently it’s not set to a level. Just random. So you could do level 1 over and over.

Thanks did Funcom say anything about the Endless Spawns?

i personnaly do it alone in 10mn wth 2 thralls level 0 20 enc 20 vit 20 aut. this siege is not a dungeon or a npc camp, this is supposed to be raid, a different experience, so yes it require to learn, you will have defeat, but you will have win too if you think at what is the best way to assault this fortress like not going for the main gate which is the strong point. use you eye, explore, find the weak point.

but otherwise if this style of event not liked, there is more linear event as dungeon or npc camp.

by the way this event is the way to level fast all thralss and in a more interesting and challenging gameplay than to kill dumb monkey and skeletons for hours

Anyone know respawn timer on boss at siege base?

Definitely agree. The spawn time is much much too fast. We took down two gates with trebuchets and were running in … killed a wave … had to retreat a bit and drink a couple potions … in that time alone … the Stygian soldiers were ALL back in place. it is far too fast to be play
able

and meantime i did the event solo killing the boss 40 time may be, dont try to go by side to find the weak point, you could win the event that is a RAID (where you have to observe, use your brain, and go for WEAK point as in all raid that we do in pvp server))

i have good new for you, a famous youtuber did a video now to give you idea how to deal with this raid.

The respawn rate is indeed ridiculous.

There does seem to be a way to stop it - destroy building pieces. When I destroy the buildings in an area respawns stop.

It’s great that there are multiple ways to do it. But the frontal approach shouldn’t be so fast to respawn that it basically forces everyone to cheese it.

I’d like to repeat that the whole affair was tested and reported in the proper forum section before release. The insane respawn, the option to just kill the boss, the high XP reward for the boss, the questionable effort to reward ratio when not considering the XP, the frame rate issue - all of it.

I also repeat my suggestion to reconsider some of these things. But please, Funcom, be honest and accept that all was known to you before release. None of that can be considered an exploit, a bug, an unforeseen consequence.

and may be if you have explored more, you would have discovered that there is way to stop the spawn at first door, but then there will second door that is stiil a strong point, And this not cheese, it’s to do a raid, come on a pvp server and do a raid in attack a player at his strongest point and see what happens (it will not be victory)

now if you want to loose 10 hralls yes this is still doable by main gate but that is your choice and you would need to bring 25+htralls

i wonder what you want as result, a npc camp that require no skill ? that require to no learn more about raid mechanism ? just because you want to go in frontal attack and want it to be doable easyly ? for me this siege is actually interesting because there is this very quick spawn npc, otherwise there will simply be no difficulties at all.

That is your experience. Sadly, it isn’t consistent with that of many (or all) others. I tried to attack the main gates again yesterday with too of my strongest thralls. The guards respawn endlessly even if you break down the first door.

On test live, killing the Hand of War seemed to change the respawn, but I’m not 100% sure on that, and afaik, I was the only one testing/reporting about that. Killing the boss killed all guards as well and ended the respawn for good. But destroying the doors never changed anything for me.

On live, some thing seem to have changed, e. g. killing the boss doesn’t kill the guards. But so far, I haven’t seen anything stopping the spawn. I’d be happy if there was a mechanic, but… but.

What exactly do you think stops the spawning? How often and under which conditions did you test that?

but if you break the second door and enter inner perimiter spawn of first gate will stop.

if you kill the hand of war, all respawn will stop, but still you will need to kill npc that have not been killed before (and they will not spawn backl)

i repost video that i alredy posted to show you that if you are able to go in inside perimiter it stop the outside spawn .

I saw the video. Did exactly the same thing - many times. The spawn never ended for me.

In the video, I don’t see you destroying any door. Did you? Or did you do anything else that might have caused that? Was that on multiplayer, and is it possible that somebody else did something outside your field of view, e. g. killing the hand of war?

What were the conditions? How often did you test this?
