For the last four or five days, I have been unable to play single player offline. I am playing it on game pass. This is how I have been playing the game since I got it and I have many hours invested in my character. As soon as I hit x to load the game in single player the sound freezes and the game quits. I have tried everything, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, restarting my Xbox. I can play online but obviously not with the same character as it is a different server. I have spoken to people on forums as well and no help. I have spent so much time developing my character and the building I don’t want to start a new game just to be able to play. I am concerned that somehow my save file is corrupted. Prior to this happening, I’ve had numerous constant issues with my thralls disappearing through the mesh into the ground and the only way I can retrieve them is to rescue them and of course they lose their gear and everything in there inventory which is very inconvenient. I have also had instances where I died and left nobody and lost all my good armor and weapons and had to remake them multiple times. It would be great if those things no longer happened but my biggest concern is that I simply can’t play the game anymore. If you could please help me I would greatly appreciate it. Try clearing the local save only in manage games and addons and let the cloud resync the save. Otherwise, you can delete the save from everwhere which will clean slate singleplayer. Then create yourself a singleplayer custom server, enter admin mode and use admin menu to regain whatever you lost on your crash happy save.
A work around for a similar issue I had was to play online for a few minutes and then try logging into offline mode. As for your thralls clipping through the earth, try turning on admin mode and setting yourself to “ghost” mode, you should be able to move through the terrain, find them, and then replace them on the surface. Just turn off ghost mode once you’ve returned your thrall buddies to the surface.
Clearing the save on my xbox and having it resync was working for me for about a week. Now for some reason even that isn’t working and its back to crashing. Isn’t there something that can be done on the game side? Ive seen many posts about the same thing but non of them have any sort of comments from funcom or anything. I’m amazed such an issue that makes the game unplayable has yet to be addressed or fixed close to a month after the update when it started.
You may have to clean slate (delete from everywhere nuclear option) your singleplayer game, that’ll at least remove any chance of bugs from the earlier save. Just use admin to regain everything you lost on the earlier playthrough.
So far as I know there is not way to regain specific thralls, so I’m trying to avoid this option as long as possible. I have a lot of thralls that I like. I’m assuming each appearance is randomized for them. I do appreciate your responses tho as you’ve been the most helpful in regards to this issue.
You can regain all of your thralls via admin. Just search for them in the centre menu when you enter admin mode
