I am unsure what is going on or if I am just missing something silly. I have learned the recipes, made improved benches, bot the recipes just do not appear as an option to craft. Voidforged weapons are there after learning recipes, so this seems specific to Grey Ones gear.
Yes, they do show as available in my knowledge, with all prereqs complete. Are the recipes only for repairing found weapons and not actually crating them? It does allow me to do so.
Grey Ones weapons and armor can only be crafted in the “Forge of the First Men,” like the volcano forge on EL, it’s a public forge.
Ah! I should have thought of that. So then there is really no point in it. Just repairing found weapons is the same outcome right? No boosted weapons from T4 thralls. 
Exactly, that’s all I would do, repair the ones you find. 
The weapons are already very solid choices for Thralls even without craft thrall bonuses.
The weight and fragility may not be the best choice for all players, but early game, run down to the Isle of Dawn, learn a couple styles, throw everything you don’t use on the dismantling bench as soon as it’s available and then you are set until you are ready to mass produced Eldarium weapons.
The Forge of the First Men is not as annoying as the forge in the Volcano on Exiled Lands to get to… But it’s still out of the way and for some reason doesn’t have a map marker of it’s own once visited. Generally this one finds it’s just better to farm the Gray One’s for their loot. There are also accursed near some of their camps, so you can also go thrall hunting while you get the composite obsidian.
