Those of us that have been here long enough know the reddit surge guide which lays out what cooking recipes you can get from which surges, but since 3.0 do you still get cooking recipe drops because I haven’t yet? What is the method to getting them now?

I believe I did a surge not too long ago and got one from a JS surge. I think it was one I already had, but I believe they still drop. You may have just had some bad luck. Idk…

Surges are still the key for easier cooking recipes.
But…
Cooking recipes you gain also from Grey pools too.
Luck in Conan exiles is synonymous to persistence!
A small example to explain this, is here…
In less than 24 hours 31 dragons died to gain the blade of the seven wings. As you see if i continue killing dragons, before the end of 24 hours every single drop that this beast gives would appear!
In order to gain it i started 9 o’clock in the morning and stopped 8 at night. Straight 11 hours non stop.
Ok, i was sick, i stayed home, i didn’t want to eat anything, my mood was horrible and i became a zombie killing red mothers all day long. THIS IS NOT A WAY TO PLAY! Gaming must be relaxing, joy and socialized as much as possible.
So try to find a way to be more efficient to surges, you don’t need to summon high surges, even the lower gives recipes and make 4 surges in a couple of hours. I am pretty sure you’ll gain what you seek. Try all the tiers of the same destination, it helps! In order to gain easy ???, consume the gremlin - goblin sigils (for others it works with just the one) get an eldarium sickle and kill 3 times the blood moon beast and the bosses below. In 50 minute, max an hour you’ll have enough ??? To do all the surges of one destination.

Awesome! That is promising for sure. I was beginning to wonder if I was wasting my time or the drops are just not as frequent as they used to be long ago, so this gives me hope!

Thanks everyone for the input! Appreciate it, I’ll just keep on keeping on and eventually get it. Just had to make sure something didn’t change since I previously was able to get recipes easily. If anything maybe they just lowered the drop rate then.

2 days ago i went with @Wonka for a north surge. No matter how many surges i did, dances with bears would appear, 2 at least! In this surge zero!
Yesterday i did a south surge (tier4) in another server i participate the last days, @Wak4863 nation, i had 2 cooking recipes of one kind.
After 3.2 landed, PlayStation 4 could finally play on official servers and coup de grace truncheon came with a bug that i find out very soon and i reported it. On 8006 i had no edgesmith blacksmith and i did about 6 surges in 3 days of each destination until the blacksmith arrived. The drops seemed normally, but i went really upset that i had to do 6 surges to finally see the blacksmith i wanted.
So make no mistake, i do understand what you are going through right now fellow exile @MelainaB, i wish you the best of luck
