Smithing Expansion (not really needed, but cool)

FUELS:
Atm, fuels are only different for duration.
I’d like them to have GRADE as well.

GRADE 1 (low power - fire lv.1): Wood - Coal

GRADE 2 (medium power - fire lv.2): Drywood, Plant Fiber, Branches (even tho they last for less, Fiber and Branches should produce more heat).

GRADE 3 (high power - fire lv.3): Oil, Brimstone

SMITHING:
GRADE 1 Materials: x1 speed with fire lv.1 || x2 speed with fire lv.2 || x3 speed with fire lv.3
GRADE 2 Materials: x0 speed with fire lv.1 || x1 speed with fire lv.2 || x2 speed with fire lv.3
GRADE 3 Materials: x0 speed with fire lv.1 || x0 speed with fire lv.2 || x1 speed with fire lv.3

GRADE 1: Iron Ingots, Stone Bricks, Hardened Bricks
GRADE 2: Steel Ingots, Silver Ingots, Gold Ingots
GRADE 3: Hardened Steel Ingots, Star Metal Ingots, Obsidian Ingots

Yeah, with this update we will make Obsidian Ingots craftable without having to go in the middle of a volcano just to get a material that it isn’t even the best around (cause star metal and dragonbone are better and easier to get).

And yeah, this way we would have Hardened Steel and Star Metal a little more difficult to craft, but not that much (brimstone is not that hard to find), also we would have more use for Fuel Efficient Furnaces (if people want to save more Fuel) and we will have more choices with Fuel considering that each one has a GRADE other than a Duration (atm everyone use only coal or drywood being the best choices for duration and accessibility).

  1. You want to make things more complicated? No thank you.

  2. This isn’t even a logical proposal. Logically the only fuel on that list you would use to shape metal would be coal. Everything else on that list either doesn’t get hot enough, would cause impurities, or would just flat out kill you.

  3. Brimstone is already required to create star metal, black ice for some reason to create hardened steel. So they already require higher tier components.

Works just fine the way it is. I literally hate everything you typed here.

x0 Speed means it will never complete and x1 speed means it’s as fast as it should be. Not to mention that NONE of the rest of it makes any sense either.

I don’t reply to people who come into this section to say “the game is good as it is”.
The proposal could be improved, but saying it doesn’t make sense make me think that your posts doesn’t make any sense.

That’s cool. Your proposal still doesn’t make sense or improve the game.

Nor do your comments.

Maybe, but the low end fuel should be branches and plant fiber, and should only be usable for bricks.

Second tier makes sense for wood/dry wood, iron / hardened brick, gold, silver, glass.

The high end should be oil and/or coal. Brimstone should not be both a high end fuel, and necessary for high end products.

In the end, it would change very little, since I am relatively sure coal is already pretty widely used as the main fuel source.

The biggest change I am in favor of here is moving obsidian out of the volcano. It’s a pain to do now, since you basically have to wait for it to finish. Otherwise, the bars somehow walk away on their own sometimes.

Conan Exiles is pretty arcade, even in crafting, but I like it the way it is :')

Honestly, I can live without this, but at least bring obsidian outside the volcano.
It’s not even that good (since Star Metal and Dragonbone are better for Tools and Weapons).
