I have a carpenter, carpenter used to show on the artisan bench, when I got a smith to work the furnaces, he also works the artisan bench, and the carpenter no longer shows. Anybody else notice this or have an issue with it? If so we need to make another bug report, but I dont want to do that is this is working as intended.
As far to my knowledge you could always place any crafter in the artisan bench, besides fom cooks and alchemist, priest and sorcerers.
Mine has a Tanner assigned at the moment…i would love to change that, but that not possible for whatever reasons.
Is you smelter a higher tier then your carpenter by any chance, that might explain why the system choose him.
But since even the carpenter with hammer does nothing for the durablity of the decorations i guess it just only matters for crafting speed anyways.
Oh ya you can put any thrall at any bench, I have a fighter cooking at a campfire.
I reported this so…
This is how it worked before the update, too: it’s always been tanners and smelters that increase crafting speed at the artisan table. Just before, it wasn’t communicated by the UI, and intuitively you would assume the carpenter thrall was the one to use and could assign them there, but they didn’t actually benefit the artisan’s benches. I agree it’s weird.
