What happens to my character that is scheduled to be transferred on april 4th to a new server and that server becomes full before then?
The reason I ask this is because the server you are transferring me to is growing in population it went from 14 to 26 and is still taking on newbies even with the server transfer.
Was this growth accounted for when deciding which server characters were being transferred to?
If the server becomes full do I still get to go over?
If you attempt to log in to a full server, you get placed in the queue to log in. According to the information that the devs passed down, your character won’t render in the server until you log in, so your stuff is safe while you’re waiting for your turn in the queue.
Just to clarify something. A server population is how many are logged in. Not character slots. A 10/40 server could in theory have hundreds of characters on it. But only 30 more people can login at that moment.
If you transfer your character to a 40/40 server, as Rekt says, you simply won’t be able to login until someone else logs off for the night. Your character is fine.
If your worries are “how to visit a full server”, I can almost assure you that finding an official 40/40 is really rare.
If your worries are “will I find a place to build”, after the new changes on official servers I can assure you that you will.
If your worries are “will I find my spot empty”, all I can say here is good luck.
One last suggestion, if you were a builder, building massive castles, or villages forget official servers. Try to find a private server that allows this feature of the game.
These are all true, I can see your point and as a player I agree with the frustration. This however doesn’t change the facts. I suggest to op what I think is better, the decision will always be his.
