Quiet you guys, or next patch it’ll become a pinwheel beanie that makes a slide-whistle noise when you equip it.
You know that is coming anyway. I am still wondering how something fun made it past internal testing in the first place.
Godbreaker boots also have that feature:

The magical energies that surge through these leggings grants additional Encumbrance and repairs the equipped weapon for a slight amount when the wearer takes damage.
I know of the three chests up the stairways… where are the other two rusted keys??
One of them requires you launch yourself skyward using one of the pressure plates. If you look around, you’ll notice that there’s an “upstairs” to one of the side areas, but no stairs to get up there. Honestly, haven’t run across a 5th (being that there’s only 4 doors, 5 keys doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, but I’ll admit there’s a lot in life that doesn’t make much sense to me).
Lol, I admit…I hit that pressure plate a few times and never thought to look around. Too busy thinking “oh hell”. In addition its the only trap that makes me laugh every time I hit it.
there are also 2 stairways where the boss is located, the one that gives you the key to the arena. in total you have 3 stairways and 2 chests that can only be reached through “launch traps”
Saturday me and my mates (and our thralls) did our first run of the new dungeon.
We used a little trick: the evening before doing it “for real” on the official server my mate did a run in solo (local) with very easy settings, so we knew what we had to face the day after.
Honestly I found the single battles hard like many others you can find in the game, good battles, but nothing so impressive or impossible to win.
It’s the dungeon itself the real hard challenge here:
- it’s huge: the run it’s really time expensive the first time, and we knew what to do. The very first time one guy enter this dungeon without any idea of what he’ll found in there could require really a lot of time like anything else in this game.
- it’s deadly: the traps are not so impossible to avoid, but they are really deadly. You cannot do errors, the dungeon don’t forgive any of them.
- You can’t die: retrieving your corpse and your stuffs could be really painfull because the first two problems. So that means you have to be really, really carefull.
- You cannot relax: all things before are meaning the biggest problem I found it was you cannot relax for a second in doing it, because you have to pay attention on what you’re doing all the time.
Oh, we decided to use medium armors like we ever wear, honestly I didn’t activate any trap, wielding a Scorpion Ward I just accepted to be hitten by non boss enemies a little more than usual to be sure to avoid them
I found it…a wonderful gaming experience, but I was physically tired after finished it.
This days I will try to do the run in solo with my thrall.
But… that f### armor, how many rusty armor stripes you said are required to craft it ??
(spoiler dagon / warmakers)
hello,
i play only offline and solo in easy mode (without admin panel), the dagon daggers are now
in my hand, dagon and the fight here are great Now i heard of the warmakers sanctuary,
the big treasures and glory I can find there, so I packed food and made myself on the way,
i open the door, my body was shaking of fear, - and i died
ok, i think i need more than food, i take little ambrosia, a good armor and my sword, and
next try, i open the door, my body was shaking of fear, i fight three bosses, go down the
stairs, and my body flew burning with a stick pierced high in the air, - and i died
after a few tears and many prayers to crom, i take my best middle armor, my best two
hand sword, and a inventory full of ambrosia, antidote and healing potions, i open the
door, my body was shaking of fear, go down the stairs, avoid the traps, dodge the
skeletons, jumped over the spiders, ignored the mammoth on the right, put out the
flames on my armor, and entered the room of the champion of the war-maker …
i ran to him, swing my big sword, and hit him, fled, and hit him, now he is angry, my
heartbeat was very fast, and hit, no - my left foot had fallen into a trap, and i died
I said crom, then not, - i take my best middle armor, my best two hand sword, and
a inventory full of ambrosia, antidote and healing potions, i open the door, my body
was shaking of fear, go down the stairs, avoid the traps, dodge the skeletons, jumped
over the spiders, ignored the mammoth on the right, put out the flames on my armor,
and entered the room of the champion of the war-maker …
in my dance of dead and angry, I stayed in the middle as possible, consumed 35
ambrosia and 3 healing potions, a potion of endurance, - my armor is tattered but
i take the destroyer, the big club (good to hang on the wall ), now I’m going to a
door that is near, - a rusty key??
… i open the door, my body was shaking of fear, go down the stairs, and started the
search, avoid the traps, dodge the skeletons, jumped over the spiders, ignored the
mammoth on the right, put out the flames on my armor, and found a rusty key …
by Crom, that the voice of a true warrior.
Nice Post.
but i want to disagree on Num.3. While she hits like a truck and even my highest tier thrall in best armor and weapon will not handle her alone she can be easily beaten without a thrall. Wirlwind Blades is my answer to her. But any other good pair of daggers will work too. Second good option is venom infused ones.
She can be kept in stunlock till she is dead. Your combo is light, heavy, heavy, light. Rinse and repeat. When you are about to run low on stamina backflip out of her range. Just keep focused and make sure all hits connect. When you noticed some hits dont connect immediatly back out with a backflip.
I also disagree on num. 8.
I don’t know but i was wearing Silent Legion as was my thrall. His damage was suprisingly low even in his final phase.
I’ve made both armors. Outside of being in the coldest areas, the Godbreaker armor is kinda useless. I raided the Cimmerians in it and though they weren’t killing me, I was drinking like I was wearing cold armor in the volcano. The Champion armor is just Legion armor for cold weather and much more useful. Both heavy. The Godbreaker comes in at about 200 more armor than the Champion. If you are a sweaty tank, then Godbreaker is your go to. Of Course, I stuck that suit on one of my T4 thralls and he’s a beast now.
Something I’ve found usefull:
You’re not forced, and in general it’s not the best idea you can have, to try to do all the dungeon in one run.
Farming the dungeon step by step, storing keys you found etc. gives you best opportunities in case you have to recover after a Death, because you’ll have all key/statues needed to bypass sections of the dungeon.
So if you play PvE/PvE-C my advice is to have an outpost near the entrance (you can use it also, with a whell of pain, to enslave peoples from Sepermeru).
Also when you get the Annihilator (drops from wight boss in trap area) put it on your thrall…
Makes last 2 bosses go down much faster.
And before people get too scared of the dungeon. Only the last 2 bosses are harder. First 5 are comparable to Unnamed City bosses. So if people feel unprepared for the Arena Champion, you can always farm the first bosses for some high armor pen weapons before moving on.
I think the big difference between this dungeon and the Others is just in this dungeon you have to watch your steps because traps.
Honestly I don’t find the arena champion so much a different fight from the one you can have in Sunken City. Both are totally blocked by staggering effect, the difference is the sunken city boss have really tons of hp, the arena champion no, but she can kill you in 2 hits.
The final boss idem, the difference is he’s slow, same attack pattern of a frost giant, so even if you are the worst in dodge you can avoid being hit at all (but be aware of traps !).
This week end I did 2 runs of the dungeon in solo, when you learn the dungeon (paths and traps to avoid) it’s just amazing, not at all that impossible thing you can win only in a group.
The real problem is the first run, when you enter the first time without knowledge of what you’ll find inside.
this is not OP. IT can be cheesed, but it still takes a good amount of time to completely repair a legendary weapon or tool. It is not insta-fix. Kits are still way more efficient. I can get 3-4 kits from UC by the time this repairs 1 legendary from near broken. But it is fun to sit in the corner of the frost temple, naked with only this ugly helmet and a blood pick drawn lol. Nothing creepy at all about that.
