As title says brimstone or normal rocks take about 15 or 20 extra second to disappear.
It does not happen with every rock but it does happen with every single brimstone node east from the pirate ship.

This issue seems to be related to the area.
The area is at the east side from the pirate ship, where you are supposed to find a hidden chest by following the instructiions on a pirate note.
