Sorcery wishlist

Top two things i would like to see, star calling, and summon blood moon beast both for pvp.

That would be great, i help my clan with harvest and blood sacrifice, but other rituals would be nice.

  • Having the rest of my stats been corruptible would be nice too,
    or something help with the rolling Thrust nerf really hit corrupted builds

Thee is a demon spell somewhere. Just got to kill it before it goes back to your base.

I would like fire projectiles, even at the cost of morphing into those red demons. I’ll take that any day over what sorcery is now. Age of Conan did it already, there’s no excuse.

Blood sorcery would be cool. Use human hearts as a reagent to temporarily incapacitate or kill enemies.

This one would like to see a mount (fast ground mount as opposed to the flying mount) or bearer type demon that we can summon while away from home.

Further this one would like to see sorceries that temporarily make a target an ally or otherwise messing with aggro.

Finally, we have a diseases status, there should be some dark magics to inflict that on enemies.

Not a single night went by without waking up to being diseased. That prompted the pay-2-win, so soon. I got out of that chemical warfare. (Pssst! It wasn’t fun.) I’m just imagining this, like playing with dolls. :laughing:

If you are waking up diseased, perhaps you are going to bed with the wrong dolls. :wink:

1% permenant corruption for each corrupted attribute.
Currently it’s 2.5% and you will get yourself severely crippled before getting any stronger from it.

This. I remember that you participated on the last post I made about this change in particular. While I fully agree that the Rolling Thrust change a lot, I think that some other needs which perhaps hit even harder came before this:

Rolling Thrust hurt, but it’s been getting worse for a while.

To address your topic, @Scorpy, I agree that an additional summon would make a good “mobile” Summon. Perhaps the Summon(s) would not take the place of Thralls. This could be a Sorcery cast with the staff, to add a Summon to the Sorcery list that had a little more direction than the Raise Dead Sorcery. These differences could make it more flexible than the Summon Demon Sorcery @Dzonatas mentioned above.


Healing Sorceries might be okay, but I feel like between Grotesque Excrescence, Resurgence, and Glutton for Punishment, Corruption Builds have enough Healing to keep up with their limited Health… but… if the heal could be cast as an AoE, including to enemies (for balance), I find this to be a good option. It would help the Corruption Builds more due to lower Health total, and would help play support to both Thralls and Clanmates since you have the choice to cast if it seems to be a good idea.

While I don’t love the projectile-style attacks that you mentioned, @GodlyVoice (personal preference), I do want more offensive spells. Perhaps something closer to @Lucidique’s suggestion but instead where using these (let’s say craftable) imbued hearts could apply a Health drain from your enemies to you or a powerful strike at a further cost of your own Health.


@LostBrythunian, I really like the idea of an even faster grounded mount than the Summonable Horse. Something about the thought of a high- Damage reaper of sorts charging in sounds cool from the perspective of the rider and terrifying from the perspective of the target. If I’m playing Corrupted, I want to be feared like that.

Moving on to the idea of the AoE Disease, I would like to add onto that thought. If there was a cast that exuded Corruption (and potentially disease) around the player for a time that actually scaled in severity of the Corruption/sec based on the caster’s level of Corruption and even had a cool visual to it, that would be fantastic.

Combine these two concepts and you have a Lightning- speed rider surrounded and trailed by a cloud of Corruption. The thought is really exciting to me on both the visual and tactical fronts.

I don’t mind the cut in Health sooooo much… I can compensate for that! The Stamina, though? Oh please give me that 1% instead. I might actually be able to make my Builds shine like they used to. Check out the link I put in the first post if you want more to read on, though you’ve already seen at least some of it in my other post.

What i would like to see is that the transportation stone inventory gets increased to say 60 and is shared amongst the entire network.

I would like to see more spells.

Spell to negate positive effects (entertained, food buff, etc) in an area for a minute or 2.

I would like to see some stealth based spells.

  1. noise removal
    2)cloaking of building similar to that of invisibility.
  2. cloaking of thralls like invisibility
  3. Land Claim cloak in that you have to actively try to place the foundation before it tells you land is claimed.

I would like to see the sorcerer thrall add value outside of research.

I would like to see more grand effects such as new stone type that you have to place in certain locations or patterns that provide building or spell buffs.
-Floating castles but only if the stones on the ground are placed correctly and if those are destroyed, you castle gets dismantled.
-Buff zone for spells that increases their damage 8X (so lightning in this zone is incredibly effective)
-Domain stones that are used to sprout out specific resources to be harvested. IE you could get a Gold domain stone and it would sprout off 6 goldstone nodes around it.
-Temperate stones to reduce environmental effects in an area.

I’d like to add to this with the opposite: Stones that would actually boost the intensity of temperatures.

Perhaps we can meet in the middle and have two kinds of stones- one that raises the surrounding temperature and one that lowers it.

The blood moon beast can shoot blood bolts.

I know alot ALOT of people want combat sorcery and i whole heartily feel you and hope that happens for you, but I like the utility of Sorcery and how they represented it in the game. My characters have never been a full blown sorcerer and the most spell i use is the light spell (which seems to last for like hours now a days i don’t know if that’s a new bug, but i had one last for almost 3 hours the other day while i was farming in the Jhil caves, not that i’m complaining cause it was really useful, but i don’t think it supposed to last that long) I think future spells should also just be on the same utility level. I would like a Water Breathing Spell, Poison/Gas Immune Spell, Heat/Cold Immune Spell and finally like a heat vision enemy detector kind of spell that can show enemies inside buildings and stuff. I know one of the perks of going full sorcerer is permanent poison immunty, but just having a temporary one would be cool, you know just long enough to run into the sulfer lake to kill that one Rotbranch.

No offense but maybe try the whole feature out before you add? if you did you would know that you are immune to gas with that perk :), heat and cold immune may be something the religion prayer book might have if they do age of gods, water breathing would be great to have, but you can get it with the spear :slight_smile:

Been playing as sorcerer since it came out and had a good mentor in game, Also detect resources spell gives you more resources if you test it out :slight_smile:
