"spawn dupe" on singleplayer-Co-Op

Game mode: [Online Private (2 player Co-Op)]
Type of issue: [Bug | Misc]

Certain mobs, e.g. Gazelle’s most predominantly, spawn several times over, leaving an area after a while, flooded with NPC’s.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Start-up of “singleplayer-server”, 1 of each animal present.
  2. We play around a while, mostly the savannah area between The Den & The Black Hand Ship, but it happened in other places too. E.g. Wolves in the north
  3. I assume mobs are supposed to spawn & despawn (tether distance related or so), except they don’t seem to despawn, resulting in an increased number of spawns.
  4. This makes venturing north after a few hours of play nearly impossible, without restarting our game, because we are met with an army of wolves.

We’re aware and it’s being looked into

Okay, apologies, I wasn’t sure, I couldn’t find any existing thread on it.

“Mostly predominantly gazelle”. Go north of Asagarth and you will find four very fat gazelles duplicated into ten on each of their spawn.
