The steel and razor arrows just stopped working about 4 days ago, they won’t fire. They glitched periodically and then just stopped working. I put them back in the carpenters bench/take them out, put them in a storage box/take them out, I put them in different slots (controller), remake them, no combination works. They had been working fine, I have a archery build and using low level arrows gets me killed a lot.
Having to race to get my body to get my stuff back is beyond frustrating/time consuming.

Please tell me how to fix this, I always play a ranged character in 90% of my games (Skyrim, etc.).
There’s been an ancient bug that prevents arrows from firing if you’re slotting them from your hotbar and not the inventory.
So you can’t just equip them in quickslots and swap between them, you have to manually slot them by opening the inventory. Now I haven’t actually tried how you do that with a controller despite playing with one a while back I just use the mouse to drag them on the bow from the inventory and then they work.
Thanks for the reply, I’ll give that a try. They need to fix these bugs instead of focusing on microtransactions … just my opinion.
UPDATE: NOPE … didn’t work, no combination of anything makes steel/razor arrows work. If this is an ancient bug … please fix it! Thank you.
I’ve had the same problem but so far a restart has solved it for me.
Also, any arrows I have in the quick slots can’t be accessed by the bow after the ones in my bag are used up. Once I use up a stack of any kind in the bag I can only equip arrows from within the bag until I restart the game. This just started after 3.0 came out and is a real pain if you are using poisoned and exploding arrows in combo to get the big damage explosions. It was just razor and steel at first but it’s getting worse as time goes on and all arrows are doing it now. A fix would sure be nice as it makes archery virtually unplayable.
I just use the mouse to drag them on the bow from the inventory and then they work.
