I was playing on an American server without any issues and the next day when I go to log into the server, it restarts the game, as it has to for the mods, and then I’m STUCK on ‘‘attempting to join’’. I tried leaving it be for 30 or so minutes, but eventually I get a fully black screen (without the three dots in the bottom left corner) and the game is no longer responding. The only way to get out of it is to shut my computer down, since CTRL + ALT + ALT + Delete doesn’t even work at this point, as it bumps me back to the game. I also tried going to another desktop and finding task manager there, but it bumps me back to my 1st desktop.
That aside, I’ve tried verifying the integrity of the files, I’ve tried reinstalling the mods (There are 46 in total for this server), I’ve restarted my computer more times than I can count, I’ve tried applying the ‘‘Age of Calamitous’’ mod to my selected mods so when I start the game up it’ll start with that mod. An FYI, I think this mod is causing some issues because it may be the reason it forces the game to restart before joining, since it changes the entire main menu of Conan Exiles. (And of course, adds many new things to the game, the mod is almost 2GB big) However, with all 46 mods, I cannot be sure which one is the perpetrator.
I’ve also tried disabling my Norton 360 app, however, this app never caused an issue before since I have already managed to enter the server. I’ve also tried getting rid of the beginning cutscenes of the game, in hopes it would help, but of course, nothing has worked. I just don’t understand why I was able to join a day prior but am unable to join anymore, without making any changes.
I’ve tried simply waiting it out but after an hour of a frozen screen of ‘Attempting to join’ I got tired of waiting, I never had to wait that long before.
It may be important to note that before this issue, I had a ‘‘Wrong version’’ error on one of the mods, I tried unsubscribing and allowing the game to download it again. Then that problem disappeared, and now I have this one to deal with.
I wish I could contact the server admin, but I cannot see anything on ‘‘Recently Played With’’ in my friends tab. I tried to do research on this, but other people have the same problem and there have been no solutions I can find. So I can’t even find the admin. Conan Exiles admins seriously need to fix their game.
