Given the phenomenal clusterf<k of the most recent patch and changes to inventory, does anyone have suggestions as to a new game or old game to play that is produced by a company NOT Funcom? Just asking for a friend.

Enshrouded is pretty solid.
Some play Myth of Empires.
Nightingale is also an option.
Renown is available as demo.
Then you have Palworld as well.

We are doing Ark, Enshrouded and Palworld.
Nothing hits like quite Conan, but with the way the devs are treating the game itās time to move on.

I already said it a bunch of times but Iāll say it again:
Monster hunter world: iceborne is a game I can recommend to everyone in this forum!
Itās not a hack and slash, you only fight one monster at a time.
The combat system, the 14 weapons, the dozens of perks and gear and the insane amount of items you can use in your inventory ā¦
For newbies it can be overwhelming and come across a bit clunky at first glance.
But it has one of the most complex and most satisfying combat systems Iāve ever seen!
And the world and the monsters feel so alive, itās really immersive!
And I still play it today, even though the support with new updates and stuff ended after the pandemic.
The game released 2018, the same year CE did.
December 2023 the developers announced monster hunter wilds and started a return to world campaign to celebrate that!
And monster hunter world even managed to get back into the top 10 on steam!
That is fvcking impressive for a 6 year old game!!!
(Something CE can only dream of)
Canāt say enough good things about this game!
Give it a chance you wonāt regret it!
And unlike for CEās next age āborderline inconsistenciesā, i am actually hyped for wilds!
That certainly looks cool.
I relogged into CE again and decided Iād fiddle with it. Itās doable. after tinkering with the UI for a bit, there are actually some aspects I actually like. I think it was a mistake however to remove the āshiftā button exact sorting option though. The controls are foreign, so itās gonna take some getting used to.

Is there any other game out there that is moddable and has RP servers?
Thankfully thats a very low bar
Iām liking Dragonās Dogma 2. At least there followers have a decent AI. 
They could implement some of that stuff on Conan. The high fives after vaquishing a battle are very funny.

I also play fallout 76 it has its own problems but is ok. No mans sky is decent.

Idk if it has sex mods, because Conan is heavily focused on sex RP

Stay away from Ark its the same ** all over.
Every other alternative is currently better than Conan Exiles, they nerfed fun.
It is a shame there not really another game like what Conan used to be for example (mind you, Conan has all the following, other games might have a few but not all):
- Having interesting dungeons and exploration (although currently fairly useless due to nerfs)
- Deep customization options in both visual as stats (if they didnāt nerf all the time)
- A mature game for adults (no childish safe garbage)
- A lot of different custom designed biomes
- One of the best building systems (comparable to Valheim, easier to use)
- And more thingsā¦
I really hope one day we get another mature game like Conan on the market, with devs knowing what they are doing.
