Suggestions for pvp(raid/defense)

Tell that to any other game publisher that released a game made with Unreal Engine 4 and that has non-broken AI.
The way the AI-system has been designed by Funcom devs, including the flaws, are not an engine limitation whatsoever.

I could only imagine their response would be that the UE4 A.I. self-discovers its targets and pathways. It does a little to look around corners to find that path of least resistance. And, I’d imagine that there have been patterns discovered or included that quicken the A.I. on UE5. Now I digress… :thinking: :face_with_monocle:

@biggcane55 i went by the base, heard smiths inside(I need a bladesmith badly) so I went to base real quick and grabbed tar, jar and powder and came back…and for some reason I didn’t hear smiths anymore. Yes, they were online but instead of stay to defend they hid everything and hauled ass.

And the weirdest thing was that when I did find his hidey stash it was all my **** anyways from when I got off lined. So not only did I find those guys’ loot and bv’s but i also found 1 of their alts and all in all got most of my ****back.

Thank you for bringing that up so I can remember it again. Coz it was soooo satisfying when I found their stash base and bv’s. They had built a hidden base underneath a raised decoy base, it was actually really clever. But it was absolutely righteous when I raided the next guy and it turned out be one of their alts. Gotta love the pvp servers, it is so much fun.

Yeah, thay would be another fix of we ever went to dbd. Shrink the amount of slots for plauer inventory. Scoop and run is counter to what pvp raod should be. Maybe limit slot number to 20. This way they can scoop some stuff, but not all lol.

I’ve come to realize that the biggest problem with raid defense is the utter uselessness of the defending player(s) guard force. These thralls are just shit anymore, even in massed quantity with high end gear. They don’t even slow the attackers down coz all they gotta do is get their pet tank(horse) to tp into the room to soak up the aggro.

Horses need to be nerfed :roll_eyes: way too much hp, it’s ridiculous. Teimos was replaced by horses.

I suggested in another thread that followers and pets in a “guarding” state should get a buff or status effect that increases their damage reduction. I believe that will work. It’s worth a try.
