Suggestions to Improve Conan

Hello, Funcom!

First of all, thank you for bringing back the Latin American servers — I’ve already returned to my adventures!

Now we can talk about whether you plan to release more improvements for Conan, or if development has stopped at Siptah.

It’s about time you speak to the Conan Exiles fans in a live stream.
It’s about time Conan received some real improvements, don’t you think?

Here are some ideas I have for the game:

1. Remove Fatality

Although fun at first, the fatality mechanic can be really frustrating when fighting multiple NPCs.
It often causes my character to get stuck mid-animation, leaving me unable to move while being attacked.
It would be great to have the option to disable it.

2. Bring Back the Old Hecatombe

The new Hecatombe is a complete disaster.
The old one was much more exciting and brought all the players together to fight off a massive horde of NPCs attacking a specific player — the entire server would unite to help.
It would be amazing to see that community spirit return.

3. Floating Minimap

Add a floating minimap window that players can position anywhere on the screen.
It would make exploration and navigation much easier.

4. Extra Toolbar Slots

Add an additional toolbar, where players can place useful items — for example, a whistle to call your horse.
If you leave your base without your horse, you could simply use the whistle to summon it.

5. Building Size Variations

Buildings could have small, medium, and large versions based on existing styles, along with new structures.
That would bring more variety and customization to base building.

6. Remove the Golems

Honestly, I don’t see much benefit in the golems.
Instead, you could add new functions for thralls, making them more useful and interactive.

7. More Functions for Thralls

Could have more active roles, such as:
• The cook being able to fish;
• The carpenter gathering wood;
• Others performing tasks related to their professions.

That would make bases feel more alive and functional.

8. Limit the Size and Number of Bases per Player

It would be great to limit how much each player can build — similar to Once Human, where each player has only one base within a defined area.
This would greatly help with performance issues, reducing lag and server stutter.

A new, more brutal map would also be fantastic — something that truly challenges players to unite and conquer it.
In addition, it would be amazing to have a teleport (TP) system to travel between worlds, allowing us to have a base in each map.

What do you think, everyone?
Funcom hasn’t shown anything new for Conan Exiles in a long time, except for cosmetics sold in the in-game store.
Conan players need real content — like new maps, challenges, and systems — not just cosmetics to decorate characters and buildings.

You need to do some very serious, deep reading to bring yourself up to date.

I like some of your ideas, Berks, and I greatly appreciate your pluck and optimism. It almost keeps alive that tiny spark of hope that any of this might have a glimmer of a chance of becoming real. Almost.

Best thing the devs could do for us diehards now is put the keys to Conan Exiles in the “free to a good home” bin so modders can keep it alive without fear of wasting their time.

Sincerely,

Jaded Realist.

Conan exiles is no longer being developed period, over, done, finito. If the SA servers are back up that is Gportal not funcom.

It should not be removed, it should be given a dedicated keybind, which you could set to nothing if you never want to perform it.

I assume you mean the Purge? I preferred the old purge over the new purge, and I do not think replacing the old one was necessary. But there is a mod for that:

I do not want a minimap. Also there is a mod for that:

I think the mount summons should be moved to the staff as demonology spells instead of the magic circle. This would allow you to summon a horse (or rhino) anywhere.

But if your primary point was you want more toolbar slots… there is a mod for that:

I do not even know what you are asking for on this one, but whatever it is, tripling the number of building pieces is just not going to happen.

Don’t like them, don’t use them.

It is possible Living Settlements would be expanded in such directions had it not turned into a disaster and development went on indefinite hold.

No.

You have some really solid ideas for Conan Exiles. Removing Fatality or making it optional would help combat flow and reduce frustration. Bringing back the old Hecatombe and adding more functions for thralls would really boost community play and immersion. Floating minimap, extra toolbar slots, and building size variations would improve quality of life and base customization. Limiting bases per player could help performance, and a new challenging map with a TP system would give veterans fresh goals to tackle.

Well, now we know AI’s opinion on the topic…

Not even the opinion, just reiterating it and adding compliments, making the user believe what they proposed was so smart :joy:
like a typical mom when you’re 12

While all of those mods might be great (and probably are), they do not help players on official servers (though I still do not understand why people play on those in the first place ), nor do they help players on PlayStation or Xbox. Sadly those are only helpful to a small portion of the community.

Sure, but that does not change the fact that other players Golems still effect server performance. In all honesty I am all for getting rid of Golems.

This is possible, and would be more of a reason to no longer have a need for Golems.

However I completely agree with you on the keybinding of Fatalities. There is no need to remove them from the game as long as you allow players to remove them from themselves should they choose to. Player freedom is key.
