What future would we like to see in Conan Exiles?

Create this space so that players can discuss what direction we would like the game to go in and lend a hand to the developers.

I want to make it clear that this opinion is purely personal and may not be to everyone’s taste, I am based on my gaming experience and on changes that I assume would not be very complicated for the developers to implement.

first of all they should finish the main story of the exile map. That the Siptah map can be visited without having the DLC (if you have it you will have the construction tiers, the rhinoceros mount and the armor). Reactivate the transfer of maps and that these are linked only to one, that is, from an exile server you can only go to another siptah server and return to the same one, to change the map you should remove the bracelet in exile and perform something similar in siptah to return to the exiled lands. Limit the construction (about 4000 pieces or so per player/clan) and restrict the number of slaves and pets much more, it is not necessary to have more than thirty and the only thing that is achieved is more lag on the servers. Wipe the servers for the changes, wipes attract many new players and would be necessary for this type of changes. Fix the combat and implement the fatalities that they promised, already to ask… that they improve the power of the servers even if that translates into having fewer of them, there is little point in having 100 servers if more than half are empty. I don’t think these changes will be very complicated to carry out and they could give the game a fresh air, at least you would have the feeling that it is finished. I also think that it would be good to include more customization options such as more types of hairstyles, scars, body types and that the war paints would not disappear since they are merely aesthetic today.

What are these ‘fatalities’ you speak of @Javi, I have not heard of them until yesterday and have now seen two posts in relation to them. Both myself and my buddy @CodeMage were discussing this not long ago and are curious.

They were in Age of Conan and they are going to put them in Conan Exiles, supposedly they came out in chapter 3 but they said they didn’t have time to finish them and they were 95% done at the time of release, so I think they will come out in this chapter. With the pippi mod you can access two animations, that of the sword and that of the daggers

I’m on board with most of this as long as they don’t implement a limit on single player / give hosted servers options. I’m not going to play Dune but they were smart to have a land claim system over there.

As far as the game goes combat reworking is my biggest issue. I understand they’ll be reworking Stamina again so we’ll see how that goes. :weary:

Transfers would be great.

The only future that would bring me back to this game is Fuctcom calling Conan Exiles feature complete and never touching it again.

So, are they going to attach i-frames to that, hyper-armour, or is it just going to punish the player for defeating an enemy with any other enemy around?

That’s a jest, but only barely.

Hopefully that is why it is delayed.

They either make fatalities voluntary or they must create a sort of fear effect, causing near enemies to flee in terror.
I-frames will not be a good solution, and could easily be exploited. The whole thing would be so unrealistic that the cool effect would vanish.
I hope devs thought this through or we’re in for a shit show, @LostBrythunian .

Which key?
One that is already used to attack?
One used to interact?
Crouch? Target Lock? Jump?
Or an entirely new key that isn’t already assigned anything?

While not the most complicated game when it comes to controls, it already has trouble fitting on a controller, which it must as, at last counting, only a minority of players are on PC.

Two at the same time or in quick order. That’s not a problem, @LostBrythunian . On controler, l2+ r2 for instance.

It could be simply leaving a button or an attack key pressed for a second or two, if we take as a reference the sacrifices are an animation that cannot be interrupted and they can damage you while executing it, that’s why I think it could be voluntary to do it or No

Maybe they’ll add one with each weapon for free and the rest of the battle pass and the bazaar, or maybe they won’t add them in this chapter hahahaha

Then they would need to note tolerance on how close the inputs being together will count as simultaneous.
You suggest Special Attack and Kick/Block at the same time?

This one’s concern about holding down the button to trigger it is how often the game already has trouble telling the difference between a tap and a hold at times.

Regardless, while this one would prefer a revision of how bodies fly apart when being killed (this one’s favourite is slicing hands off with the sledgehammer, so immersive), adding more clunk to already janky combat is not something this one is enthusiastic about.

This is something they can easily sort out. I would go for L2+R2 simultaneously. Easy and not used to do anything else.
I would introduce the option to map it independently. This way players get to choose.

This one would be extremely happy to have their trepidations rendered unfounded.

What i would like to see is the return to proper old Conan Exiles without all of this nonsense that has happened in the past 3 years. 1x rates on PvP and return to the old loot system. Also the old attribute system was much more equal, now you are forced to pick certain attributes and perks if you want to have any kind of chance in pvp combat and not everyone wants to play like that. The thralls back to what they were and the old breaking times back as well. This new gameplay is boring, uninteresting and way too easy, no challenge what so ever.
