They are looking into nerfing the sounds from the Surge and Maelstrom:

New isle.. nerf the dang boom boom boom

Hey there, We’ll send note to the Siptah team to lower the boom boom and go a bit more with the bam bam. Thanks for the feedback.

They are also making the sounds more natural:

Don’t worry! We’ll lower the boom badaboom in an upcoming hotfix. We’ll try more of a BRWAAAAAAAAAARM Zimmer kinda horn thing. Haha, just kidding. . . . . UNLESS.
