Anyone snag a T4 Armorer or Blacksmith from the camps yet? If so, where was it?

Yes, I got a T4 Blacksmith, Heker the Henpecked. He hangs with his buds in a small camp just off the river in the South West of the island.

That is the only T4 Blacksmith I have seen and no armorers.

I did get a T4 Bearer last night who I liberated from a cage in a camp though. Very surprised.

Oh cool! I got my first T4 from that camp last night, at M10. Got a T4 Smelter.

I’ve been trying to learn all the new recipes, but spending Eldarium on some of the new stuff when you don’t have a T4 BS or Armorer feels almost like a waste, since it takes so much time to farm the Eldarium in the first place.

I have seen a good amount of t4 thralls in camps. In bigger ones there is usually a few different, but today even in a small one we met a named Tanner. Since we play with a friend in 2 on a private server, we actually agreed to not capture thrall from camps, its tragicly easy(at least ona private server.), so that we still have a need to do the mealstorm and the leyshrine surges.

You’re lucky then. I don’t play every day, but when I do I put in anywhere from 4 to 8 hours in a setting. Since the 2.3 patch, I’ve obtained several T4 tanners, because of a permaspawn, 1 T4 carpenter, and somehow got lucky and got 2 T4 smelters in the last 24 hours. IMO, as a solo player, that’s not a “good amount of t4 thralls”. When I’ve been on, I’ve been splitting my time between hunting thralls and doing vaults on the east side… about a 60/40 split in my time.

Before 2.3, I could get 17 Greater ??? per maelstrom solo, which made it fairly easy to get T4 thralls from a surge. Now, I feel it’s been much more difficult as a solo since you can’t use the maelstrom to force Siege Elder Things to spawn.

All that said, I’d rather hunt T4 thralls in NPC camps than the aforementioned tactic of forcing Siege Elder Things to spawn. Farming the NPC camps also provides many useful resources.

hmm Dont you get many t4 warriors and priests also in camps? I think i saw them a lot of times

And im not saying camps are bad as idea, i do them also and enjoy them (without capturing t4 thralls).
I just really wish there was a balance, that the reward/ risk- effort was properly balanced so that Siptah unique mechanics with maealstorm and leyshrines wouldnt become obsolete . So imho:
1-Either make t4 thralls more random and rare in camps.
2-Boost the difficulty and effort to raid the camps.

Just came across my first 2 T4 warriors in the Accursed camp north of the tower, a Berzerker and a Cormand. Do they regularly spawn there? That’ll be nice if they do. I died half doezen times just trying to knock them out (got swarmed by other thralls). At least for me, playing solo, that camp is plenty difficult. I can see how working with even 1 other person would go a long way in helping out on that front.

I concur with you on the leyshrines - I do not want to see that mechanic become obsolete. I personally really like the concept. However, keep in mind that the process of farming T4 thralls of any kind from a leyshrine has always been tedius/cumbersome and time consuming for players who run solo. That doesn’t mean Funcom should go out and make it easy, just making note that Funcom will always have a struggle finding a balance in the content when you have anywhere from 1 to 10 players doing any given task. Shoot, most of the time just going from 1 player, to 2 players makes HUGE difference in difficulty.

I think we’re both looking at the same side of the coin here, but from different angles. I would like to see T4 thralls in general be rare, but NOT grindy/tedius. Funcom has a bad habit of punishing players for effort (for example, farm fragments and turn them in for random recipes only to get a dozen duplicate recipes…). I think less random is good, so I think I’m with you on boosting the difficulty. Just at the end of the day, I want the game to respect my time.

I got a grrr legbiter at the rivers keep ruins at n10 area of map if you want to update the map.

Sounds reasonable. I wish also the difficulty woud be more uniform so you could just up the difficulty if you play with more poeple or find it to easy. Atm we moved the sliders so vaults are chalenging, but Maelstrom now is a bit to hard with such settings…
