That’s the point. People always hunt for the best possible equipment because they want to be as strong as possible. Then complain that the game ist to easy. And they can’t see that a sandbox game offers them all the options to adjust their game expirience. Thats sad. It’s sad, that adults have so low creativity and phantasy. Perhaps a sandbox game isn’t the right genre for them…
It is actually less creative to rush on PVE for no reason other than to rush. And the OP thralls allow for them to rush. Why? What is the hurry? If you don’t play a lot, purge is not an issue. And if you do play a lot, you have more than enough resources to repair build even if a purge “wins”. What other obstacle is so urgent, you need to get 4 legendary keys in 30 minutes???
On PVP, the nerf actually hurts us on every aspect outside of player on player combat. We can’t farm legendary keys/FoP’s as fast. Going thru the Volcano to get gold will take longer. Thralling will take longer. Base defense is lowered. When Avatars return, zeal hunting will take longer. So why would PVPers still be so for the “nerf”? Because maybe we are looking at it from all angles, not just “how fast can I build and farm.”
It is frustrating when that is the entire argument from the other side, which also fails to see it also impacts pvp. This forum is just a rediculous echo chamber from both sides with very little actual input, but I do find your comments refreshing when I read them @WhatMightHaveBeen.

Biggest problem I see with thralls winning against endgame bosses is that it is just head to head raw damage and armor/health numbers. Bosses should have more interesting mechanics that thralls can’t do. That would also make the players the heroes, since they have to actively do boss mechanics to have any chance at winning.

What the heck? Is it strange that the best thrall in the game can kill a dungeon boss? Are you kidding me?
Even if you gave her a normal heavy armor and she was low level, she could kill it because she has a dragon bone axe, that is not as good a Yog’s Touch, for example, but it’s a very good axe (Plus she had food).
Also, killing the warmaker have never been a problem, he has low damage and it’s very slow attacking, the only problem is that he has too much health and armor.

It’s not a good way to say that thralls are OP. The problem is in the game in general, it’s designed to use thralls, you only have to compare their stats with yours and you’ll got the key.
What I think is: if you’re going nerf thralls, give me something to balance, I don’t know, if a wouldn’t deal a damage that equals less than 0,5% of an actual three skull enemy would be great. That’s why thralls will continue always been the main focus of a fight and “the hero”, they’re simply better than the player, even with their 2 IQ moves.
/agree, Hell. Thralls are still OP and just plain dumb.
Regardless, it was a step in the right direction. I do feel more like a hero, but it’s TTK (time to kill) that drives me to push the limits of agro balance. I, personally, do not like to sit there and watch the thrall decimate a boss. I like to add my damage to his and let the thrall tank while doing just enough damage to not pull his attention.

Implement stamina for thralls and pets. 100 base, the same for all. Regenerates to full after 3 seconds once depleted. Regenerate 5 stamina per second passively.
Pet special attacks cost 75 stamina. Light attacks cost 10. Heavy 20.
Thrall special attack (kick) costs 33, Light 5, Heavy 10. The type of armour they wear increases the cost of attacks. Light multiplies by 0.5, medium by 1.5 and heavy by 3. Normalize agility for thralls (leave pets’ unique formulas untouched since they do not have gear) so that they all follow the same formula the player agility stat does.
All food now heal 2 HP per second. The quality of food determines the bonus percentage amount and how many stats are affected. Starts from 1 stat and ends at 3. 5% bonus for 1 to 15% bonus for 3. Remove accuracy bonuses for pets.
Healing arrow buff should tick every 1.5 seconds and no longer attempt to apply if you are afflicted by a bleed or poison.
If needed, implement Grit. 1 Grit = 2 stamina.
Pretty good ideas, Rok. They would get more attention in the Suggestions channel, though. Since testlive is = live now, not many visit here.

This is the problem with trying to placate the people wanting to nerf the thralls even more, after they’ve already been cut by 50%. They still want more, at the expense of everyone who disagrees. I have a solution though. You guys complaining about the thralls being too strong can simply stop using them.
Easy fix, and the people that disagree don’t get forced to have their hard work cut in half. If it’s too easy, STOP USING THEM. Leave the rest of us alone.
So thralls were nerfed for:
1- being too strong and baically dumpstering players in PVP.
2- The player should be the Hero not the thrall.
Both of these would have been solved easily with Bumping Player health By even a factor of 10.
I pull a dalinsia off the wheel with 5-6 hp’s ( w/e the # - it’s irelevant ) Fact is she comes out with 10x more hp’s than a player.
How the hell does anyone expect to be the “hero” when most 3 skull bosses can waste you in one combo?
Fact is the Hero… Hero should be heroic. 400 hitpoints ( heavily specced in vit ). Thrall has 12K.
12,000 v 400 30 times more health???
If these were flipped somewhat? You could take a dancer to remove debuffs
take an archer to snipe stragglers.
Even later if sorcery is added a healbot or a cc thrall would be awesome.

Because if we had 4k HP, the PvP balance would need to be adjusted to remain the same, we would need a power increase to damage of 10x (per your suggestion). Everything in the entire game now gets 1 shot, except for 3 skull bosses. The world is no longer challenging. Now every single mob needs to be balanced up so we have something to fight.
We would be back in the same boat, or worse, after numerous pointless balance changes to the entire world and every mob.
