Hello everyone,
first of all i want to apologize for my bad english, its not my native language. i tried the forums search, but didn’t find anything suitable.
We have now activated the MAP Isle of Siptah on our server and we are busy leveling, building and discovering. But the Maelstrom in the middle of the game is getting on our nerves a bit.
While this is active, the map is also “darker” as in the “night-cycle”. So we thought about whether to switch it off for the time being, or to reduce the duration and the occurrence massively.
do the blue waves still appear ? Are they coupled to the maelstrom, or do they come independently of whether the maelstrom is active or not?
Just from what I understand is the wild surges and maelstrom are separate entities so reducing the maelstrom I don’t believe should change anything with them. If that’s what you mean by blue flood. (I’m assuming this since the icon for them is blue) is in wrong on any of this I apologize I only have played on single player so far so just going off the settings menu in the custom single player menu. Btw they have also said in other threads they are looking into adjusting sound and visuals for both the maelstrom and wild surges
Hi Monnkey325,
thx for your reply. Yeah i mean the wild surges, where the npcs falling down from the sky to the ground i thought it was called something like blue flood/blue wave etc. i used the dictonary and yes … the correct term ist: surges - my fault sorry ^^. but iam happy that you understand what i mean.
Any time glad I could be of some assistance. Like I said I’m not 100% sure they aren’t connected somehow but the single player startup has them on separate time intervals and how many of the surges can be present at one time so my assumption is that it’s separate. I hope we hear from someone more knowledgeable about them so I can be confirmed or corrected as I’d like to fully know myself.
I am fairly confident that if you disable the storm, you disable the wild surges (floods) as well. If the storm is too annoying, you can reduce its duration.
