Yessss!!! More trees for the God of Trees!!!
I have wanted trees since day 1
There are a couple of trees in the Bazaar and a couple of bushes but this is absolutely not enough.
I did poke the team about the tress and they are looking into potentially adding more plants and tress.
This is low on the priority list as right now, the team is focusing on improving the game experience 
Other people had better be praying that those trees can be harvested. Because if not, then overbuilding is not going to be the only problem.

They surround their Buckingham Palace with a forest, then complain about log in issues and severer lag.
Sorry, I love the dead tree with crows to go with the right building set looks too cool. I’ve set up a witch house a couple times. I’ve also been lag to a crawl because some though a dead forest was the thing to do. Ya a few dozen heavily animated props, what could go wrong.
Really I have no issues with the trees, give people those trees for those vanity builds on a private server or single player. But people do not understand the meaning of restraint or constraint on the public servers. Give them a tree and they will plant a forest.
Lol, this is a disaster waiting to happen. You’re out exploring and find a nice spot to build a small outpost or a teleport stone, so you go to start building and you get the “This land is already claimed” message, you look around and there’s nothing but some bushes and trees, youre like wtf there’s nothing here, then it dawns on you , you walk up to one of the trees and it says “Owner: that one guy” . Lol the ultimate stealth land claim spam.

So, your issue is not with them giving us nice things. It’s with some people overbuilding.
Fortunately, I play on a server with strict building rules, and being able to add a couple of trees by the front gate, or in a balcony planter, would be just fine and cause no issues for anyone.
I will continue to ask for trees.
Not if they are sized down a bit to be used as placeables.
Also, they only natively grow along a certain river in Siptah, so it would be pretty obvious if you were placing them literally anywhere else in the game.
And landclaim spam is already a reportable offense, so…

If you play on a private server there already is a mod for that.
Also, aren’t foundations and pillars the only objects that make landclaim so these tree placeables would have zero impact in that regard?
There are a lot of private servers that refuse to add mods. On Band of Outcasts, you would never know there weren’t mods, because the guy who runs it is a nerd king hacker genius. On Synergy, the players who build there are remarkably talented at doing amazing things within the limitations of the game.
I have no idea how landclaim spam works, but I do know that the kind of spam that guy’s worried about can be reported.

No, everything you place claims land. Even thralls.
No, I can assure you they’d be up in here complaining about how bad the game is bugged out based on their issues logging in.
The issue with the game has never been the building pieces. See my builds in the thread, I’ll be adding my various jump bases as I finish them. I pretty well always build the same way.
But I have to ask what the point of the trees are?
To to make your village look nice?
See the ToS about villages.
To landscape around your base?
See the ToS about land claim abuse, how is a tree not a pillar?
In fact a pillar would be less GPU demanding.
No, I can be quite reasonable, my issue is a lot of people can’t. I can forgive a few ornamental trees, I can’t forgive the back forest.

You don’t seem to comprehend that this is a horrid concept on a SHARED PUBLIC SPACE. It is not @DeaconElie who is inflicting pain on himself, it is selfish people who just “do what they want” who are inflicting pain on everyone else who shares that server with them.
That does not make said thing good. It just makes those people blind sheep following the bad behavior of loud idiots blatantly disregarding the social contract of using a shared space with others. Why would you encourage such behavior? Why would you not, instead, point out where said behavior is in fact incorrect and harmful to the experience of all who share said space. After all, if you want to just "do what you want’ you could just go play singleplayer and have at it.

well we can agree to disagree on that , experience have demonstrated ad nauseam that a majority of people doing something , or thinking or believing something has resulted on it being the norm , and you can argue after that this is good or bad within the confines of your world view , that doesn’t make it false than in some other parts of the world you’d be totaly wrong and it would be called good if you considered it bad , or bad if you considered it good .
and for the official servers well
Funcom is the sole judge on this and we can only send thems reports on whatever we personnaly judge what is an offence … after many unsuccessfull reports you may or may not get the clue that … Funcom’s view differ from yours , and decide to move to non Funcom operated servers , or stop complaining … with the last option being, keep playing on official and continue complaining … ( but you know what they say about repeating the same experience every day expecting a different result ( outcome ) )
Well the thing is , if you saw me complaining everyday here you could say this without a doubt , and I would agree with you … but since that is not the case , I can continue playing on officials without any problems thanks .
And let’s be honest , yes some people abuse completely the building system , but that is a fringe amount of the population of officials server . For instance the server I’m on at the moment has had 2 really offending base in terms of server lag impacting for one ( bajilion placealbes ) and preventing building area on 2 and a half blocks for the other , one is now gone , the other has been reported by many also . I don’t participate in the reports for overbuilding for obvious reason of lack of warning from funcom , but nontheless this makes 2 clans out of the whole population of the server …
and on the server I play on many people ask new players to not build over foals spawns, or to open their elevator to the skeleton dragon of the pit ect … but they do it in such a manner that all have accepted untill now to modify their builds in order to respect the others … but you know EU servers is not the same mentality than NA servers or other regions for that matter …
so please both of you @DeaconElie / @Oduda , in the case of adding or not adding a really cool tree to the bazaar , stop viewing this under the prism of your poor experience with others …
