I am currently running the Released version of CE on my laptop and have primarily been playing in a Solo-Player (offline) game.

I know where to go in STEAM to install the Beta (Testlive) version of CE.

I want to know can I go between the two Testlive and Released Version without losing my current Solo-Player game without having to do any type of backup or install of the Released Version.

Purge doesnt work at all

Yes, this is possible.

If you google it, there’s a half-workaround that basically amounts to backing up your game files and restoring from backup before you switch.

although it may be old.
