Testlive Update (26.11.2020) - Update 2.2: Bug fixing, stamina and shield overhauls!

Whats the reason behind this one? PVP wise, it meant anyone rocking heavy armor couldn’t really use run and slide to safety or climb away form someone… Seem like a weird thing to change.
Its kinda the bonus to wearing light or med pve/pvp. Why remove it?
(I get if new system doesnt allow it…but gameplay wise…)

Ummmm WHAT… are you trying to drive us insane? Just remove i-frames then from roll if over-encumbered… But please for love of god, DO NOT take away the ability to roll thru my house to move heavy amount of materials around… and force a slow walk.

Look Just console user… who can’t play test-live so my feed back means ****.

AHHHHHHHHH!!! taking away the roll… XD

I simply do not understand what it is you are shooting for here as developers… There seems to be very little consideration to the players time spent playing the game as it is now when you make these radical changes that make all that time and effort wasted.
The idea that these “karmic” items make the game “too easy” fails to recognize the efforts needed to get to that point in the 1st place! Also the fact that there is a huge difference between “too easy” and avoiding useless grind activities in favor of having fun playing the game.
Really, what will this radical change accomplish? It will simply make the work needed to get those items a waste and cause players to go back to the grind of getting repair kits to do the same function.
WHY? does this improve the game experience? no… does it somehow balance the pvp - pve players? no…
All it does is make players angry and wonder what the hell you guys are thinking…

I can confirm there is no roll when over encumbered just that slow ■■■ walk, seems they want to ruin any fun in this game. If you become over encumbered during a fight, say you pick up a weapon off a dead boss by mistake then every thing around you will kill you as you can not roll in any way away from a mob any longer.

all this stuff just boggles my mind… I just don’t get what they are trying to do here…

if you were to write out a plan on how to destroy a game community, funcom seems to be running it step by step.

Does Funcom intend to address the broad sweeping reductions to some of the craftable weapon damage (up to 20% damage reductions and 10% penetration reductions) as much as an 85% durability reduction to craftable shields which are not documented in the patch notes?

That was not communicated transparently, nor does it appear to be a “scalpel” rather than a chainsaw.

How about thrall weapons now taking durability damage, not communicated in patch notes? And if that’s the case, why aren’t there karmic items being returned, if thrall gear durability is demonstrated to be toggleable?

The all-caps bug report (rant) that was removed by the community for being toxic, which cried for a nerf to karmic items, is now a moot point with thralls being code-able to take equipment damage (and already taking weapon damage). So why did karmic items need to be removed then?

What gives, Funcom?

If I was a subscriber to a monthly service game in this state, I’d be canceling my subscription so that the financial loss to the developer would speak for itself.

If I hadn’t already bought Early Access, I’d be threatening not to buy it, again, so that the financial lost opportunity to the developer would speak for itself.

Sadly, I’ve already paid you for the game, all of the DLC, and the Early Access, Funcom team. At this point, you have 100% of my money for the game that I purchased, and now you’ve sundered so much of our brief relationship as developer and consumer with the lack of transparency and the broad, sweeping, and seemingly unnecessary changes by listening to he who yells loudest, rather than those who quietly and positively support you, that I feel betrayed.

All I can do is say, “But I won’t play your game anymore.” That carries almost no weight, as I’ve already entrusted my Early Access fee to you.

Will you listen?

Will you address your seemingly antagonistic relationship with the consumers?

So see why the big test live patch notes, to hide the real nerfs, weapons so many all nerfs. Wow Funcom what the heck are you doing, really how about you give the people who play or paid for this game what really is going on with all the hidden crap.

lol not that I ever expect them to answer what they are doing or even be honest any longer.

actually, siptah has better craft able weapons. They can be repaired with eldarium.

Craft Eldarium weapons as you get recipes. They are repairable with eldarium as well, and on top of that I feel better than rng weapons.

I think these changes breaking the roll will be debatable, for instance against pike (reach) opponents.

I am aware of the Eldarium weapons and recipes. That which was nerfed was better and now is worse. The Eldarium things have their own unique repair issues associated with them (thanks karmic nerf) and are not as good.

Note: Yog’s Touch is an axe. Aja’s Bane is one of the good maces.

yup if you want to do and do and do the vaults to get the pieces to delve or if you want to farm over and over and over Elder ore by doing the boring vaults you have done over and over and over. Oh yes and there there is the broken recipes and those that just do not delve at all. I have done Spitah and after a few weeks boring is not even close to how boring it is.

Also these weapons are NOT on the Exiles lands map, so no way to get those Spitah weapons are there @WhatMightHaveBeen really and you know that as you have played the base map for a long time.

Well if over encumbered you are just not rolling so dead if you go up against a pike and you can only slow slow walk.

Suggestion for Funcom, lets call the patch notes from now on The Nerf Notes as that is always a nerf OR 10 in every update. Every single update you all add undocumented nerfs, every single time. Hidden nerfs, along with a host of new bugs but not like they will read any of these comments till Monday, almost forgot they do not work on the weekends.

Yes, dead and buried.

Here is the link to the other thread about this: Funcom please do not do this!

I have already crafted the lemurian axe , but i was just pointing out that those 2 items would be the same if not for the name they have ( if they both come with 0% armor pen ) witch is really weird … at least if they have to nerf it no matter what give something back to make it unique ( be it a skin that makes a rainbow when you swing would still be better than just the state it will be if it goes to live like this … )

Hello. I’ve been playing Conan Exiles for over a year now and every patch so far has either.

A. Broken something
B. Added changes that were unwanted by the community.

However, this update takes this to a whole new level.

WHY NERF NEMEDIAN?
WHY NERF GODBREAKER BOOTS?

These are questions that come to mind when I read this. This game only ever nerfs items rather than buff things. Nothing is unique, Nemedian will become useless and the godbreaker boots will become generic heavy boots. What makes Conan Exiles unique are the dungeons, the unique weapons that have different abilities and effects, the different armours that give different bonuses. Who the hell is gonna wear Nemedian? It’ll become useless. Its not even an overpowered item.

In addition, why add durability to Thrall weapons? Do you guys expect us to babysit each and every thrall for their durability? It’s rather ironic for a company named “Funcom” to take away so many good features in the game. You guys are LOSING PLAYERS and LOSING MONEY by making these obnoxious changes that only impact the game negatively. This beautiful game has so much potential to be the ultimate survival game and yet, the company is doing stupid things like this.

PLEASE. Don’t make these changes as they are not necessary.

Fellow Exiles, like this comment. Lets ensure our game doesn’t face these awful changes.

This does look as a not intended issue, it’s size and scope suggesting an issue related to importing datatables. Please do remember this is a work in progress build with possibly some bugs in it.
Instead of sounding the alarms, please do report this issue by following these steps, do let us know which changes are not documented so we can relay them to the team, and chances are, these are WiP bugs that need to be addressed in future iterations of this patch.

Nice to see updates that are already out dated coming out.
Funcom maybe the new Internet Explorer meme.

So at what time do you think youll get around fixing the game?

Well said Ignasis, thank you for the communication :3 I was just wondering if maybe the “stealth” changes were probably just unintended bugs or someone just forgot to add them to the patchnotes  You is people too, it can happen okay! Don’t bring the whacky stick out! I was just saying! :stuck_out_tongue:
