Thaumaturgy bench says too far away when trying to learn spells

Welcome to the Forum. Can you empty the bench and pick it up and replace with out loosing any thing such as the Tome if not wait for server reset. If that doesn’t work file a Zendesk report information on how is in the introduction pages of Forum. Good luck. @XcountrygirlX
If it works the same as it does on the PC, the solution is to move a little further away or to the side. Then when you click on the spell you will move closer to the correct distance.
The message is backwards.
Oh I know about that one. It’s not a bug. You have something blocking the point of the bench where the animation occurs. You are upgrading your tome right? And then it says “too far away”? Check to see if you have anything next to or near the left corner of the bench as you face it. For the animation to work, that space needs to be completely clear. I had the same problem, until I realised that I placed the bench too close to the roof of a tent, which meant that my character couldn’t stand in the right spot for the animation, and I got the error message. So clear everything away from your bench, and it should work. You just need clear access to the left corner.
