Thaumaturgy - SUGGESTION

I loved how magic is represented on AoC, the necromancer in AoC is the best implementation of necromancer in all mmorpg games and mostly rpg games that i have played. Few games have a better implementation of this classes, but one thing is missing. Thaumaturgy.

“It was a black reality, an empire of black magicians, steeped in evil now long forgotten. It was finally overthrown by the Hyborian tribes of the west. The wizards of Acheron practiced foul necromancy, thaumaturgy of the most evil kind, grisly magic taught them by devils.” – Robert E. Howard: “Hour of the Dragon”_

If you look to Xaltotun on Conan wiki

Powers/Abilities: Xaltotun(…)cause sudden floods, avalanches, deadly plagues, and other forces of mass death and destruction. He could cast illusions, generate consciousness-robbing mists, paralyze othes on contact, and animate inanimate objects. (…)

On Khitai there are mages using golems and one quest who envolves getting life essence for a golem. Honestly i think that a thaumaturgist should be a mage who instead of animating the dead like necromancers, animate the inanimate. That means, that a Thaumaturgist will use his own blood to imbue “lifeforce” into a inanimate objects, that means that his pets will be :

  • Animated daggers
  • Animated swords
  • Iron golem
  • Steel golem

Maybe a high costly pet too like a heavy golem who costs 75 S per summon.

And 6 pet points daggers/swords should require 1 and golems 3. Also, i think that a thaumaturgist should fit the role of tank. His golems should generate “hate” to himself, not to the caster, his DPS should be the lowest of the caster and most of his spells should be based on draining enemy life. Mainly because there are already a lot of DPS players on this game, a mage focused on tanking will bring more variety to the game and to mages.

What is your opinion? I know that is a suggestion that will probably never be implemented since funcom is investing much more on Conan Exiles, but is just my suggestion. Any troughs?
