I know what you mean and perfectly get your point.
Bugs like this after that tell you nothing. So did you do it correctly and succeeded in trying to do it some other way (to explore) or did you miss something? If there is no description how to do it and what exactly is expected, you can only wonder, where was the mistake then.
That’s where some will to test your knowledge and try something new can collapse and you won’t be willing to try it next time, because hardly to be find advice did not work anyway.
I hope you understand my point as well.

The only one that occurred to me were the bindings of the dead. Are there any other craftable legendary tools?

I want to add that each and every other challenge was ok so far, never had any problem with others, just this one.

That was likely a bug. I had one or two in other challenges, but nothing worthy of mention.
Daggers of Dagon, for example. Any weapon with the purple edges on the picture. Bindings are tool, those wont count as a weapon, in my opinion.

Yes, we were talking about tools. There’s plenty of legendary weapons and armor, @Archivist . 
Fetch quests are the bane off all mmo and mmo-like games. They are boring uninspired blackholes of fun.

I almost never touched those, @Sairdontis . But even on the last two challenges (the first three are common and usually don’t pay up the time you invest) sometimes they appear. At least you won’t be gathering rock or trees, but coal, iron and obsidian will come up frequently, as will lotuses.

Why not make the event specific quests Legendary? I would rather hunt sorcerers for exp.
Yeah, bugs can ruin anything. That’s why Conan Exiles can be so frustrating. There are some great ideas in there, ruined by bugs.
Not that I know of. That’s why it took me some time to figure out that particular challenge 
And that’s why I’m so invested in defending these “kill a mammoth with poison” and “completely sunder a rhino” challenges. At least it’s something you have to figure out, rather than going through even more repetitive motions.
Which ones? I would really, really hate to depend on the RNG to complete a specific challenge. For example, “capture a named sorcerer” would be the kind of challenge that I would hate with all my heart.
There are already event-related challenges. For example “complete an event” and “complete three events”. But if the challenge was “complete Portal to Yuggoth”, then we’re back to grinding the RNG for a challenge, and that’s a “hard pass” vote from me.

About the named sorcerer. challenge… I would not mind. But the point: Since the release of chapter 1 I seriously could not find ANY T4 sorcerer. After chapter 2, in one week I got 8 of those, just to put them in the vault in case someone wants to have the complete T4 base.
OT: Still trying to find T4 Zath priest without any success. Only two spawn places and most of the time there are the guys from Asura, or other T1-T3 Mitra priests in blue clothes. The same with other 25% spawn chance T4 priests from Set religion, about which probably nobody on PvE servers gives a damn.
I found several during the chapter 1, but it’s random chance. I really, really don’t want to have to run around grinding the RNG just to complete a challenge, especially because these challenges are meant to be done over, and over, and over again until you’re done with the BP.
As long as there’s no 100% T4 sorcerer spawn, that idea is just downright awful. And I brought it up as an awful idea 
You need to grind at Mitra’s Serenity. That’s where I found mine. Thanks to @stelagel for that tip

Witch Hunt event, bring skulls etc. Anything is better than killing white tiger, wine cellar…
I’m asking for event related challenges for big exp reward.
Going there like all-the-time online, after 15 minutes, like the only one grinding it. Got maybe ten Dancers of Zath or Priests. Not the third tier, and not single T4. I am playing CE since 2018. 
But again, you have a point, when it’s about RNG, it is nonsense to include it to the challenges.

It’s a drag. You need to camp near the spot with a bow, out of reach. Kill anything that isn’t what you want, go afk for 15 min, rinse and repeat.
Usually I get the t4 zath priest on that mitra shrine near the arena, but the method is the same for all t4 priests. A Seth t4 is usually easy to find in Sepermeru.

There’s already a challenge for bringing a sorcerer skull, and another for bringing both a skull and a live specimen.
Yep. It took me a while to get a named T4 priest there. It’s mind-numbingly boring, but possible. You see why I’m against adding RNG-related challenges 
I don’t know if they nerfed the spawn chance, or I’ve been unlucky lately, but I haven’t seen a single Hoshun the Fang for weeks now. Probably just my own luck. Fortunately, I already have a Set T4.
So far you gave me way more than i gave to you and for this i am very grateful! Thank you for being a sharing player and help others all these years with your fantastic tips!
Sepaking of this, I am kinda meh about the option to get any T4 worker thrall just for dragging three sorcerers to the cart. Hunting and collecting T4 thralls has no point for me now and I hope they remove this fantastic options in future.
Any player can have even the best tools with minimal effort on very low level, so as the T4 thralls. It kinda ruins the spirit of the game in this matter.

Well, I kinda want to do other things in the game and those low spawn chances for T4 from specific religions is awful. I have Host the Venomous from Sepermeru maybe in ten coppies, but have no real value for me.
You cant have Dereketo priest, or Yog or Zath, unless you dedicate your whole time in the game to doing nothing but being aware and doing this rng coursed dull stuff.
