Note from my side, broadening the spectrum of input, iv’e hade the invisible sandstorm only once, beeing just the sandstorm message.
Im aware of that bug by the reports, so i noticed that about 10 sec event.

So when I talk about hardware. The majority of the time, it is about the server hardware. If you have a crappy server. You can have a RTX 3080Ti, 256GB Ram, and a 6.0Ghz 16 core CPU and it will tun like crap. In the few times I’ve spoken about hardware on the client side is going from HDD to SDD. And the difference there is nearly universally nomore lagging loading screen (aka the unskippable intro video). That’s a fact unless there is something else going crazy there.
There may have been one or two times in the last month where I’ve said something else about someone’s hardware. But that’s probably because they are on a literal potato of a computer. Like running off their intel CPU for video instead of a dedicated card. Or when someone complained about CE overheating their computer/laptop.
But this is neither here nor there. If you want to discuss this further, make another thread about hardware requirements.
I could totally get on board with a forced wipe if they did it via a meteor shower that obliterated everyone’s base. That is assuming it goes along with a new map. Short of that, no. lol

Think more Ark. Nothing’s getting destroyed, we’ll just have a new map to play on in addition to the current one.
We’ve known for a while this is going to be a paid DLC, there’s no way Funcom would be stupid enough to force players to pay to continue playing their game by completely replacing the existing map with one that costs money to access.
Hard to say, since all we know is that they’re officially announcing it tomorrow. They may give an actual release date then, or they may want to keep it more vague in case of delays, who knows. I assume they’d try to get it out for all platforms at once, though.
I would actually like to ‘‘start over’’ on a completely new map, sort of like a Conan 2.0
Well if this map is anything like Ark’s DLC maps then you’ll be able to do just that, so you’re in luck!
I wouldn’t worry about that. If it’s the new map, it’ll almost certainly be on a new server.

Just recently Funcom announced hiring people in Oslo for the Dune IP. They wants a UX/UI director + something similar. So, the North Carolina-team might be more into Conan Exiles while the office in Oslo focusing on Dune (my speculation).

Um no its not. Not even close. Its in pre release for PC. Consoles get it on full release in 2021.
Think of it as beta-testers of the new map so when they release if for consoles, it should have a lot less bugs.
… after 2 years it is really extremely boring on Console.
For me that means, I’m only online every 6 days and that I withdraw from the forum, I don’t feel like witnessing spoilers.
Where did you get that, it will be early access on pc, then launched on others later.

Fair enough but there is a world of difference from:
“the extension is only there for PC”
and
“its on beta test for PC and will be fully released for everyone in 2021”
I feel you are being grossly over-dramatic to try to hammer a point that you’re just going to disappear because you don’t get to play it in beta.

Get that all at the same time.
But you already know that there are betas on console too?
And at the moment they are only available for the PC.
So my statement is correct, because at the moment it is only available for PC.
