Bug Description:

The Degenerate doesn’t always spawn in the Well of Skelos. The script will start his speech about the downfall of the Serpentmen, and the illusions will spawn but the boss himself does not. Leaving the area and waiting a while can cause him to eventually spawn, requiring you to repeat the encounter.

There is mention on the wiki that this issue has existed since early 2022, and apparently it has not been corrected, or the bug has been re-introduced after 3.0 was released.

Bug Reproduction:

Unknown how to consistently reproduce the issue. It seems to be most common in single player, and likely on servers the first time someone enters the Well after a reboot.

You can afk outside the room and he will spawn eventually.

Yes, I know and I specifically mention that you can leave the area, wait a bit and eventually he will spawn. That doesn’t mean it’s not broken, just that there’s a work-around.

No waiting required! Just run awayy and return. Used several times, worked every time.

C’mon man, “workaround = fixed”, that’s how it is in this game.
