The Hounds perfect hit animation bug

The “PERFECT” animation is only playing every 2nd time but only if i skip a beat in between the shots. The animation only plays once even if i hit “Perfect” 12 times in a row.
Been a while since i used the Hounds but i remember that it wasn’t like this in the Demo.
I don’t have any mods installed if that may be a question.
I have the Steam version.
