To celebrate the Samhain season, The League of Monster Slayers is running a caption contest to see what amazingness the community is capable of. Be it witty, funny, or something all-to-together bonkers, let your creative juices flow…
You all are free to caption any screenshot you take, but please, only one submission per account (although you can have your prize go to whichever toon of yours you like).
The contest is open till October 31st at 11:59pm (est). Please include the in-game name of the toon getting the prize.
The winner will get a “Boone” dossier, with the runner-up getting a “The Duo” dossier.
I should have said that what I want to see is the use of caption bubbles. I’m sure there are apps out there, but I used the free version of Canva to do mine.
the conditions of the contest are quite unfortunate: you cant participate normally unless youre a more or less old forum user, because new members cant send media content (even through [img] or links), and some new people get the basic member badge (as I looked) even a couple of years after their first posts.
support is silent for weeks or even months (no quick badge this way).
so yes, the participation filter is unpleasantly strict. like ‘in our close circle’.
i cant event link it here, so i’ll post it in discord in comm-ev section as reply to UC’s post about event; if I suddenly get the badge and there is an opportunity to edit - i’ll fix it.
It took a while, but a few ideas came to mind for some non-entry captioned screenshots. It’d be unfair for me to enter, especially since I don’t need the prizes, so I’m posting the following two (2!) images solely for the sake of it. They were made with the power of memes after arduous brainstorming.
Both entries were taken with the characters Vomher and Elswere. I coordinated and took the screenshots in-game. Elswere created the caption boxes as well as the talksprite featured in the first screenshot through MS Paint and the power of a hand drawn ink pen sketch - that is indeed their artwork!
I’d like to thank Elysane (as the doctor on the left checking my alt’s pulse, and the dead female customer with the red jacket) and Eve (as the dying male customer on the right), who kindly agreed to help me to stage the screenshot!
Happy Samhain! And if Dante offers you candy, think twice before eating it
The Entry for Malkeshar:
According to the Templars, that treacherous Illuminati propaganda never happened and the culprits have been fairly executed.
