Yeah, that was an April Fools joke. Remembering how…let’s just say controversial the original Night of Lost Souls event was, I found it pretty amusing.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they do bring it back for real in some capacity, but if they do it probably won’t be until Halloween.
I really need to meet the joke seller to FC… I need an humour update…

I’m new on the game, I’ve started since the free weekend. But, I know very well FC, I’m SecretWorlders Vet and in action.
They have did same jokes in the changelog of SWL… Maybe they had clown to eat at breakfast.

Maybe it’s Scandinavian humor (which I share, being a fellow, err, Scavvie?) anyway - I thought it was a fairly clever sort of in-joke, mostly at their own expense: even those who are largely positive about the ‘night of lost souls’ event in its entirety acknowledge it had some fairly glaring issues, and Funcom knows that too.
I will say that getting angry in any way over the joke qualifies one for ‘worlds pettiest 2019’ to be held in icy Idontgiveafukkistan in June.

The Night of Lost Souls announcement on April 1st was an April Fools joke. I was the one who wrote the post, and while I did have a lot of fun while I was making it, it was never meant to be taken seriously and it would never make it into the game.
Fun fact: If you take the first letter in every paragraph and put them together it spells out “APRIL FOOLS”.

Yes, but on Steam it wasn’t signal as a joke, so…
I’ve just discovered the joke statut here.
I think the EU needs to enact a new resolution called the Global April Fools Day Training Initiative which mandates that each country send it’s citizens to attend a April Fools Day seminar, as part of the consumer rights protection act.
And that would be the EU’s April Fools joke.
