On our server, just west of the Ice bridge obelisk, there is a huge progression of theme park buildings, one after another. No thralls, just buildings. Whenever I port to that obelisk, it takes almost 5 minutes to render in.
I truly believe that the thrall “server performance” thing is just faux, just like nerfing fishtraps. The real issue is exactly this, overbuilding, theme park building, etc.
FC should walk lightly on thrall caps and not go full out. Your player base will not thank you for a heavy handed approach.
