Did you feed them with pork first and then tried to give them another food?

We’ve passed this information over to the rest of the team for further investigation.

If you give them pork, they will not eat anything else until the 25% buff is active, they will heal but basically for the lowest amount 1hp. Once the buff runs out, you can feed them with other 10% food such as gruel and they will eat and heal from that food. You can no longer stack the different types of food though, if you have 25% buff you basically have no heal.
